Looks like peach (fruit) and has a soft, very dense & fibrous, crimping coat! Her daughter's both have exemplary coats of fiber. Her daughter Lazy Susan can compete with most alpacas for her softness and yet her heavily laden blanket of fiber of extremely long staple length!!! Both daughters, so far, have been mixes of white and/or light/med to dark fawn. Both have HEAVY, dense coats of fiber, with long or very long staple length! Peaches is no longer with our farm! Peaches is very independent and very spoiled by her first owner (and by us)! She is a favorite. She can make you laugh with her intelligence and antics! She is mature, yet likes to dunk in our creek, and a long, low-height tub that we got for her! She was one of her first owner's initial cria's and therefore became spoiled! Peaches' sire was APP Peruvian Galant Physique, who's sire was beautiful 5Peruvian Camelot 9040, and whose dam was Royal Phinesse, daughter of PPPeruvian Royal Fawn 6014 and PPPeruvian Shannon 4753. Bay Black "Galant Physique" placed 1st in 2003 at the AOBA Summer Nationals Fleece Show as a 2 Year Old. Camelot won the Western Ohio...Triple Crown "Get of Sire"; and of course this means he has sired numerous winners of awards. Her dam is our Dark Fawn "Mentirosa". Peaches' dam Mentirosa is from CPeruvian Jaxon 114 IMPF98 (Bay Black) and Mentirosa's dam was Fleecy Dale Bon-Bon (Medium Brown). Bon-Bon was from many GREY mixes: sire Peruvian Macusani G204 (LSG White), and her dam was Dewey Meadow's Ruby (Light Brown/Light Silver Grey & White) who was of Dewey's Spitting Image (MSG W & TBlack) and Dewey M.'s Cherry Jubilee (Medium Brown/LS Grey & White). All of Bon-Bon's lineage was colors mixed with Grey & White, or Grey and True Black. (Peaches' sister Jasmine's cria "Crystal" is all white... but knowing of the many greys in their lineage, I named Crystal for grand-dam Bon-Bon's lineage). Every "Peaches" cria will be an expectant little miracle of a wonderful heritage of colors & greys, and probably very dense, crimping fiber!

NOT for sale! FIRST HARMONY SPRINGS FARMS ALPACA SIRE (PROVEN 2x at 2 yrs & now Freedom is carrying a white cria..will be of triple Hemingway, Snomass DeBeers, RAYO, Royal Fawn)! Vet said: Crystal seems pregnant also (by Rayo's Snow)..maybe Buttercup also. Females also PICTURED ON OUR SITE! We got PERMISSION from MOUNTAIN EDGE ALPACAS to name him for his sire RAYO! You'll see his CERTIFICATE soon. Lazer is competing w him, but he seems to be our best & was hard to name him w his ROYAL LINEAGE he (half brother WINGS too) had it ALL! Breeding will be high till we get offspring (can't risk getting infections)...not all alpacas will be for sale! Even plan to keep some for fiber alone. Click dam COTTON above to see part of his lineage at her ARI CERTIFICATE! Cotton's Sire- Snowmass DeBeers, received 1st place in class of 7 Mature white males in 2004 at MAPACA Eastern Alpaca Jubilee. Judge Mike Safley said: "This male exhibits excellent fleece characteristics and is carrying good consistency in crimp and fineness as well as density for a 45 month old. He is a very nice animal." De Beers was sired by Peruvian SNOWMASTER (you can almost count his USA "sons" on one hand). Peruvian Snowmaster, was Snowmass Alpacas record selling male (at the time), and sold to a farm in Australia for excess of $200-250 thousand. Australia later sold Snowmaster back to his dam's native Peru, making him the only North American Alpaca to imported to Peru at the time. THERE AREN'T THAT MANY OF HIS OFFSPRING IN THE US! And if you search for Hemingway, you might find he was listed for NWAssociation. Cotton's dam Nuera's from sire Monte Carlo, of $600,000 Royal Fawn line... whose World Class Genetics can only be gotten now through offspring! For sire lineage, find on Alpaca Registry: Mountain Edge's "RAYO" (Yellow as sunshine-Lt Fawn)! Look at our his dam Cotton's Sire ("Snowmass DeBEERS") descriptions. Research revealed SNOW's Sire (RAYO's) worth was evident at 3 months old... won ribbons at Eastern Alpaca Jubilee & at 2000 AOBA in Louisville! RAYO's Sire ="BLACK MAGIC" (we lost a ROYAL TBlack cria "breach birth"). Rayo's Snow has potential for Rayo's yellow(LtFawn), Silvers.. ANY color(or bit o' Lt Silver & white). 1st two DARK crias shimmered! We want to keep SNOW's breedings HERE... be SURE we HAVE OFFSPRING! 1st Breeding was w Peaches (Paternal Grand-Sire=MBrown "Camelot"!). By VET ultrasound, cria was DARK! Peaches' cria was probably lost to notorious HUGE STRAY DOG! We lost breech birth-his 2nd, large MAGIC black male. Snow's 1st & 2nd cria (looked like Camelot & Rayo's sire, Black Magic)...BIG, long legs, w dense curly crimp, very ROYAL. We didn't get our Vet here quite in time next morning as labor started toward midnight. Remarkable VET almost saved him & Dam bounced back quickly (lesson learned)! SNOWMAN passes fantastic qualities.

No longer with our farm!

Description

This is Peaches' daughter Ginger Snap, who is no longer with our farm. She was very loving, tame and buttery soft to rub. Her fiber itself may represent the best quality in our female herd!! She worth a little more work just to have that devine very dense, buttery soft fiber!! About half a week after Amy brought Ginger to the farm, we sheared her and found she does currently have a zinc deficiency. But her blanket is beautiful to look at and touch and for "fiber alone" she is dreamy gal. Bolero or Kahlua rebred to her 5 wk after Snow. Ginger's skin issue due to an inherited deficiency in zinc (from Peaches) wouldn't clear up... so she is no longer on our farm. We tried several remedies and zinc items, as well as Nucote.. none worked very long. She inherited this from her dam Peaches. She was a Peruvian Accoyo Chimbote (& son Ulysses) and Auzengate lineage. And back into her grand-dams, she has beautiful yellow fawn "Pizazz" (from Peru) as a grt-grand-dam on her sires side of lineage (see certificate). AUZENGATE LEFT 7 sons, including GG Ulysses & Corazon!! THIS IS BEST in Describing her lineage: Her grandsire, Peruvian Accoyo Chimbote, was sired by the world famous AUZENGATE who was exported to Australia after being purchased for well over $100,000. AUZENGATE LEFT ONLY 7 SONS IN USA when exported to Australia! Chimbote was one of them, and we have 3 of his granddaughters thru his sons GG Ulysses & Corazon!! Ginger's sire...GG Ulysses'. Chimbote was owned by an AOBA judge as well, and had everything you wish for in a herdsire. His incredible presence in the ring elicited raves from judges. A prolific breeder, Chimbote settled his females quickly and efficiently. Chimbote died in June of 2006 MAKING THESE GENETICS EVEN MORE VALUBLE (1 of 7 Auzengate sons in USA)!! This is what Mountain Edge Alpacas, LLC said about their famous sire Chimbote: Peruvian Accoyo Chimbote won a second place at his first AOBA National Convention in 1998, a first place at the Eastern Alpaca Jubilee in 1999 and a third place in an extremely large class of 23 alpacas at the National Convention in Louisville in 2000. He continued to impress judges with his magnificent conformation and super dense fleece. In every halter class he has entered, he has won either a first, second or third, despite the significant competition of the best animals from all over the United States (All-WHITE class). At the Louisville convention on June 4th (age 4), he sheared an incredible 12.65 pounds of fleece and that did not even include his legs. Chimbote's sire was Auzengate, the FIRST pick of 550 alpacas in the 1995 Peruvian importation. Best of all, 70% of Chimbote's crias have been female. Her half sister Lazy Susan has fantastic dense, long staple length fiber. Ginger Snap has a zinc-related deficiency. Her grand-dam, Mountain Edge's Nieve, was a sister to Mountain Edge RAYO.
