DON'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY -- ACT NOW!! Intrepid is still healthy spry, and the macho KING OF THE FARM. He is still an enthusiastic and effective breeder, and his 5 cria born at Mountain Spirit Alpacas have had fine fiber despite their color, and Intrepid's offspring have ALL been medium fawn or darker! Here is a chance to get access to a herdsire that has been used in the Snowmass program. Intrepid represents excellence in black -- the density and fineness of whites in a black herdsire who's pedigree is built on prepotence of the genetics that we revere in alpaca fiber. Intrepid is a masterpiece. You will not be disappointed opening his fleece -- dense well organized fiber, a broad high amplitude crimp with sheen and slippery handle. He is covered head to foot on a stoutly built frame of big bone and excellent proportion. He's a good sized boy as well, a little taller than the normal Nova sons who who tend to a smaller frame. Julie and Don Skinner at Snowmass Alpacas are the architects of this boys magnificent pedigree. They took the fineness from the succession of a number of Chilean ancestors and mixed it with the dominance of white fiber quality via Peruvian Bueno and Peruvian Legacy blended with the superior colored finess and density from Peruvian Drambuie. The dam, Snowmass Legacy's Ruby, is a solid performer in her own right having a thread of quality cria, but the sire here for Snowmass Intrepid....well, it doesn't get much better. Snowmass Nova has a veritable legacy of show winning cria all over the country. The fact that someone paid $335,000 to secure ownership of him speaks volumes of how he is seen in the alpaca market place. He has sired more than 15 cria and almost all are bay black or black. So here you have a great looking boy with persistent fineness from year to year from a royal pedigree and the judges agreed!! SHOW RESULTS: 1st All American Futurity Juvie halter 2004; 2nd AWE halter Yearling 2004; 2nd AOBA Fleece show 2005; 1st Northwest show case halter 2005; Reserve Champion Northwest Show case halter 2005; !st International Alpaca Odyssey halter 2006; 1st AOBA National Fleece show 2006 He is for sale for $1500 -- get breeding access for $500!

**6/18/2012: It's another girl for Magic! Magic produced a light brown, incredibly dense perfect female! WOW!!!! *** IgG is 4225. Typical for Magic's offspring. This dam is a foundation girl - place her in your private reserves! We liked this match that she was rebred to Kohana for full sibling! Awaiting confirmation of pregnancy. _________________________________________________ If you are looking for a fabulous foundation female who produces champions…look no further! Black Magic has produced TWO (male and female) champions – from different sires! This means the common denominator is her! We have elected to keep her latest offspring (a female who just turned a two) and offer up Magic to those looking to enhance their black breeding programs. Look at the offspring she produces – Champion Midnight Starr (over 15 ribbons won!), Champion Blackjack (runner up to 7x champion - every time Blackjack took 2nd place!), Midnight Sapphire (shown twice - blue ribbons both times!), and now meet her newest offspring - Midnight Gypsy - a stunning replica of the sire, multiple champion (Keme Kohana of Salt Creek). Magic is the daughter of Lanark’s Expresso – son of Drambuie himself! This is a line you WANT in your breeding program. The fineness and handle you get from these lines maintains itself…so much so that Magic’s offspring beat out the white entries in the Produce of Dam classes! How’s that for fabulous? Magic is an fabulous mother – attentive to her crias, gives birth unassisted, excellent milker, and comes to the barn if you call her name! She stamps her “fuzzy” ears on her offspring along with her rich and consistent coloring! Blankets are consistent, fine and dense. Add this outstanding PROVEN female to your herd today! We strongly recommend rebreeding Magic to Kohana - current offspring (Midnight Gypsy) is stunning!

Description

**Update Summer 2024 - Sapphire appears to have slipped her pregnancy since her date has come and gone. We don't plan to rebreed her at this point due to limited pasture space and we will not overcrowd our pastures. While every single one of her offspring have sold, and she is an excellent producer, as a responsible breeder we will not add "just one more" to the herd for the sake of a sale. Thus we are offering Sapphire at a significantly reduced price for a farm that needs diversity and an excellent producer of high quality offspring. ---------------------------------------------------- Reading the ARI certificate on Sapphire makes any knowledgeable breeder just drool. Snowmass Peruvian Casanova…Snowmass Nova…Drambuie…Bueno…Legacy…all on a TRUE BLACK FEMALE. That is right – she is a product of black on black (black dam and black sire)…and she is following in the footsteps of her siblings…champions! Sapphire earned her first blue ribbon at the age of 7 months. Crimp? Yep – she’s got it. Handle? Oh yea, softer than a cloud. Brightness? Put your sunglasses on, she is so bright. Density? She has so much fiber, she is already sweating and can’t wait to be shorn again! Fineness? Well…we challenge you to find a black with more fineness. Sapphire is another example of what her dam gives us every time - incredible offspring with fineness, superb fiber, perfect conformation - and a handle that stays with the alpaca as it ages. Sapphire at 20 months was as soft and fine as she was at 2 months. WOW. Similar to the rare sapphire gemstone, our Midnight Sapphire remains one of most sought after alpaca “types” with her flawless conformation, perfect bite, beautiful handle, crimp, overall “style”, and she has no overtones or secondary colors to lessen her beauty! All of this makes not only a beautiful addition to any alpaca collection but also a fairly sound investment. Sapphire comes from a line of champions - sister (Midnight Starr - SOLD) and brother (Blackjack - SOLD) have both taken banners and multiple ribbons...Sapphire is just beginning. But more importantly, she carries the foundation guaranteed to be the same outstanding seed stock that you want in your herd. Siblings have proven this by beating out multiple whites and fawns for the coveted Produce of Dam blue ribbon for the dam. It is rare that black beats out any other color when you have multiples...but Magic's offspring consistently does this. Sapphire is no exception. She is another gem. Sapphire has , black, grey (including a color champion female) and vicuna pattern dark fawn offspring. She is currently open due to late Fall birth of latest cria, Sharpie, but will be bred to KBA's Steely Dan in 2023.
