Once again, we have found a hidden "Starr" for our program! Nestled in the hidden valley of Ohio comes S C Silver Belle and her cria, Pablo's Silver Starr. Silver Belle is already known for producing outstanding silver grey offspring, so we gladly decided to repeat the breeding to multiple champion service sire, SSF Peruvian Pablo (who will be featured in the Las Vegas auction!). We knew these genetics were already scarce in our area, so we wanted to acquire them before they headed "west" so to speak. After all, how do you argue with lingering fineness and color from ancestors such as Ross, and Caligula? Silver Belle has a blessedly sweet personality, is an excellent mother, and has all the contributing foundation aspects one wants in a foundation dam - solid and correct conformation, fine and consistent fleece, strong bone, and large frame. Her offspring are just darling and show stoppers. Take a look at Silver Starr's page and you will see why we just had to have her as well! :-)

Description

Nov 2014 - As this girl matures, I see her changing before my eyes. She has a solid, large boned frame, is conformationally correct and the fiber…well…it changes month to month! As a light silver grey, this fiber is soft, dense, yet fine, crimpy and just something you want to dig your hands into and not let go of. While it may not be the "fawn crimp" (as she is not of fawn base) style that many greys are made of, I suspect she will be a secret weapon of those who have just acquired her. **Oct 2014 - The fineness this girl displays is incredible. We had put her in a shorn class in MAPACA because we were determined to have her independently critiqued by a senior judge - and she came out with the blue ribbon with a "well deserved" and "please parade her around so people can see what correct conformation looks like" comments. Since we see more and more juvies developing incorrectly, we are proud to see Starr maturing into a well developed, strong mature female. I would not hesitate to add density to this female and show off her ancestry of Accoyo Maverick/Royal Fawn and coloring. **Update August 2014 - Oh yes...this is a darling MSG/DSG female stunner. Starr continues to mature and develop beyond our expectations - making the decision to add this one to a foundation line-up was not the wrong decision at all. She absolutely has the stocky build we are looking for in a frame and the true huacaya traits in all her features. Another winner in our book! ------ Talk about a bright, crispy, stunning fleece on a correct frame! A grey lovers dream! And cute to boot! Not only has her dam (Silver Belle) given her the strong conformation she needs, but her sire (thanks to his stunning ancestry) graciously added in incredible traits to this little girl's package! One simply cannot argue with champion genetics being passed on to offspring in the correct order as they were here. Starr is the package that breeders are looking for…Starr is a female from proven highly selected, predictable ancestors. (Her sire is a 4x color champion w/ 10 blue ribbons and her grandsire is multichamp Accoyo Maverick! Proven championship impact genes!) Place her in the ring for recognition now…then in your foundation program for future generations. Her traits: Boxy, large boned, sound, square frame = sound conformation which produces effortless movement True-to-type huacaya style = excellent headshape, correct bite, wide set features & correct capacity A silver grey blanket with the following fleece traits: - Dense fiber staples which are also fine and buttery soft = ultra fine & high fleece weight - Uniform and consistent crimp - long staple length - super bright This spunky attractive girl is exactly what breeders look for when adding to foundation lines. When bred to the right males, Starr's genetic background will compliment the next generations.
