We are very excited about the offspring hitting the ground from our full Accoyo beige son of El Nino (Caligula's best son), who had a 16.3 micron fleece at one year! Dr. Norman Evans did a skin biopsy in the fall of 2005, and according to his results, Michelangelo's density is absolutely unmatched (S/P Ratio of 13.28/1 and follicle density an amazing 107 follicles per sq/mm)! One of the softest AND densest fleeces I've ever had the pleasure to touch! Multiple champion and blue ribbon winner in fleece and halter! Michelangelo had confirmed pregnancies at 22 months, and to date has many healthy CHAMPION offspring on the ground (including ROSE GREY, SILVER GREY, medium brown, light fawn, beige and white! His offspring took blues in both juvenile white male AND female classes at AOBA Nationals, and a grey took a blue at the Futurity! Judge Kevin O'Leary commented that a white Michelangelo offspring he judged at AOBA had "the finest fleece he'd had in his ring all day! Herdsire discounts from SSF do not apply to Michelangelo breedings. We will begin booking a few limited outside breedings for 2008.

Description

At Salt Creek Alpacas, we understand the significance of genetic diversity. We also value the traits the winning combination of traits that significant ancestors bring forth in select genetic “packaging”, such as this one. Allow us to introduce Michelangelo’s Pacino - a proven Light Fawn championship El Nino’s Accoyo Michelangelo son. This stunning male is a full complement to our herdsire row. Pacino brings championship credentials as well as proven female offspring with incredible consistent fiber and flawless conformation – just like him! As expected from a quality Michelangelo offspring, Pacino has maintained his consistent crimpy architecture and staple as he matures. In addition, he continues to maintain his buttery soft handle and fine micron at the age of 6! (Do we expect anything less from the PCA program?) Pacino is, of course, the son of the one and only Michelangelo – and the traits that he brings forth are all within his “package”. But don’t ignore what his dam has brought to the table. Maybelline has 4 blue ribbons of her own to wave around. With Jeronimo (Guellermo son) as a sire and Dom Timbo as a grandsire, how could she NOT be a winner? She boosted the lingering fineness, brightness, and staple length! So, we know Pacino has great parents…we know HE is a champion…but it gets better….he is passing these traits on to his offspring! The fiber and conformation is being passed on to his DAUGHTERS! Eat your heart out….he is putting outstanding daughters on the ground!
