Scott is a proven herdsire with a number of award winning offspring. With the best of both Peruvian and Bolivian genetics, he has extremely dense, high luster fiber, shearing 8.6 pounds of 25 micron fiber at 7 years of age! Scott is a great breeder, and we can usually count on him to settle girls on the first try. His son, Slugger, took the reserve champion at the 2003 North American. He was bred to color just once - a black dam - and produced a beautiful solid dark fawn male, Manitowoc, who has done very well in the show ring as well, taking a 3rd at Mapaca and a 2nd in tough competion at OABA. His Daughter Cambria took several first place ribbons at the spring 2007 shows! Scott is notable for passing on his perfect conformation and high luster. Scott's most recent daughter, Lenox, took 5th place, at barely 6 months old, in the very large white juvenile female class at 2009 AOBA National show. She is such a beauty that we have re-bred her dam to Scott hoping for a repeat in 2010! Update: Son Tiffin brought home a 3rd from 2011 Mapaca Jubilee in a class of 15! AND a Reserve Champion Banner, as a previously shorn yearling, from the 2011 Georgia Alpaca Celebration! Scott is notable for passing on his perfect conformation, uniform fiber, high luster and exceptional re-growth. We are sad to report that we lost Scott, a farm favorite, over the winter at the age of 16. An important part of our breeding goals for 15 years, we are happy that we made the decision to retain his son Tiffin! While most of our females are closely related to Tiffin, we are looking for just the right girl to add to our foundation herd so we can keep these exceptional genetics in our herd. In the meantime - Tiffin is ready and waiting to prove himself with outside breedings!

Dam: PLA Lalique

Reserve Champion Producer!

PLA Lalique

SuriOpen (Female)White
AOA# 1400663DOB: 10/9/200519 yrs
Lalique is included in our herd package! 7/8 Accoyo, sired by Peruvian Baccarat, owned by Wild Rose Suri Ranch, Lalique carries the Santiago and Bruxo lines on her dam's side. With very fine, dense, greasy fleece that has retained it's fineness at 10 years old, she is an excellent choice for anyone wishing to add these accoyo lines to their herd. Lalique's dam is our best foundation female, Just Another Note (JAN). Lalique is a great mom, just like her own dam, calm, nurturing, and delivering easily with lots of milk. Lalique is open and ready to breed! Lalique’s first cria, Lenox, a beautiful white female shows great density and a lot of luster. Lenox took a 5th place in a very large, competitive white class, at 2009 AOBA Nationals at just 6 months old. We liked her first cria Lenox so much that we re-bred Lalique to Scott for a repeat in 2010. Lalique’s second cria, a male is Tiffin! Tiffin did well in the show ring - Reserve Champion at the Georgia Alpaca Challenge, 3rd at Mapaca, and 4th at both Paoba and Buckeye. Anyone who shows white alpacas knows how large and competitive these classes are, so we are pleased that he did so well! Lalique produced another high quality white male in 2014! Lodi is the result of Lalique's breeding to Rio Grande and he did very well in the show ring with 3 - 1sts, 2 - 3rds and a 4th! In addition he was part of the Get of Sire team for his sire, Rio – winning 3 1st s and a 2nd for his dad. Lalique’s retained fineness has been passed to all of her offspring, making her a great foundation female!

Description

Tiffin is included in our herd package! While it is extremely difficult to compete in the large white male classes, we are proud to say that Tiffin held his own in the show ring, placing 3rd and 4th at Mapaca, Paoba and the Buckeye Show. Tiffin attended the Royal Alpaca Challenge and came home with a 1st Place and RESERVE CHAMPIONSHIP!! As a previously shorn yearling, we all know how difficult it is to come home with a banner, so we are particularly proud of this placement! Judge Kristen Buhrman commented in her oral reasons on his high degree of luster, uniformity and the EXCEPTIONAL REGROWTH exhibited with just 5 months of growth. Like his sire and dam, Tiffin is easy to handle and gets along well with other males. These are precisely the traits we look for in a sire and are thrilled to see it recognized in the show ring!! Tiffin is closely related to most of our white girls, and as such, he has not been put to work yet. However, he is anxious to start working for you!
