We are thrilled to have the opportunity to offer Champion Accoyo Kahuna's Giovanni on our farm in the North San Francisco Bay. We always dreamed about having outstanding bloodlines in our Stud Row, and Giovanni sure "kicks it up a notch" for us!
Giovanni is a Full-Accoyo son of the legendary Pucara Kahuna--his offspring are distinguished by their DENSITY and well-defined, roping locks. Giovanni comes from the breeding program of one of the premier Suri ranches in the Western US--Alpine Suri Alpacas, known for their quest to use only the top herdsires to breed to their outstanding female alpacas. Well, they out-did themselves by breeding Accoyo Kahuna to their exceptional female, Accoyo Consuela to produce our guy, Giovanni. Look at his pedigree--Torbio, Ramilo, Bruxo, and Kahuna--a virtual "who's who" of outstanding Suri males.
The 2014 EPDs are in (see below) and Giovanni has excellent stats across the board. So, if your female needs improvement in AFD, Spin Fineness, Staple Length, Fleece Weight, or %>30 microns---in addition to his very strong bone and luster, then Giovanni just might be your guy!
Giovanni did well in the show ring--a Reserve Color Championship at the California Classic in a competitive field judged by Amy Bliss-Miller. His owners were unable to "campaign" him perhaps as much as he deserved, but we are impressed by his perfect conformation with SOLID bone, locking, and density. Giovanni's first cria took a blue ribbon his first time in the ring at the Southwest Regional Alpaca Show, and he took the equivalent of Reserve Color Champion at the California Classic Alpaca Show. El Cedro has excellent conformation, knock-out luster and wavy, well-defined locks--great qualities passed on by his sire.
Gio's two summer crias this year at Alpacas of Windy Hill are gloriously perfect with luster, bone, and well-defined locks! His daughter, Italia, took home BLUE RIBBONS her first times in the ring at AlpacaFest West 2015 and the California Classic, and his son Assisi took a very competitive 3rd of 6 at AFW.
Giovanni has moved to his new home at Alpacas of Marin, in the North San Francisco Bay area--GROOVY!
This is the first time Giovanni has been promoted for sale. We have his son, El Cedro, and a host of other white Accoyo males, and we are not able to use him as much as he deserves to be used.
