AOA #31204194 | DOB: 9/22/2007 (17 yrs) (Due Date: 6/10/2013)
Sire: David Shines
31204194<--ari-->Light Fawn<--color-->At Alpacas from MaRS our breeding program is focused on fiber fineness, healthy solid conformation, and fleece coverage. David Shines is an excellent example of all of these things! He is a rich caramel colored male with all the fineness you would expect from Hemingway and Felix on the same pedigree.
David's last fiber analysis shows that he really is holding his fineness with age, at 5 yrs his AFD is 22.7, with a CV of 18.6! David's progeny have all received rave reviews from their owners, some have gone on to do repeat breedings, one has matched the same female with David for 5 years in a row! 2004 was a color test year for David, and he passed beautifully. He is allowing color from the dam to come through while improving the character and fineness of their fleece. His crias are claiming multiple ribbons in the showring!
David has been coined "Super Fine, David Shines" by our clients. <--description-->
Dam: Heras of Bolivia
31204194<--ari-->White<--color-->Full Bolivian
Heras gave us many quality crias out of different sires showing us just how important the dam really is to a breeding program. A Bolivian import, she had bright white fleece that had kept it's character with age. Heras was a true foundation female, the grand dam of our herd. Her legacy lives on in her offspring.<--description-->
Description
If you're looking for a female that can produce healthy, strong crias with no fuss at all, Kakori is the female for you!
MaRS Kakori was the third offspring from our herd matriarch, Heras, a Bolivian import, and our progeny proven, David Shines, a Pperuvian Felix son, that held lingering fineness into old age. Kakori has a bright white fleece with excellent density. The crimp is nice and even, and bundles with consistency. She's got solid structure and nice bone. And she certainly inherited her sire's strong presence.
Kakori has proven herself to be an excellent mom with plenty of milk, easy pregnancies and she keeps a perfect body score throughout the whole process. She has also proven that she can throw deep, rich color. Her first cria, pictured at right, was a real stunner with championship attitude and gorgeous dark brown fleece. He sold at only 4 months of age!
Kakori was held open in 2011 to switch to a spring birthing schedule. She was been bred to Snowghost, an award winning, full Bolivian, for her 2013 cria, and the result is a beautiful white female. Again her cria grew like a weed, a testament to Kakori's ability to throw healthy, solid stock.
Kakori was sold but her current owners are planning to move so we agreed to help them find their alpacas new homes.
