Dam: Mika

Her name means: New Moon, she SHINES

Mika

HuacayaOpen (Female)Dark Brown
AOA# 1039214DOB: 7/6/200420 yrs
Mika - Japanese for NEW MOON. Mika was the new moon for us, she was our first purchase. Like the moon she has shined upon our herd, with her Crias. She is a excellent Dam in every way. She is the Angel in our pasture. Her show winning Cria have ALL done well in the show-ring. For a girl at the age of 15, her fiber has the maintained its luster and crimp style. She still is rock solid! We are going to give Mika a breeding break, as said she has established us with a solid foundation of males and females. Sometimes a Gal needs a break. Mika needs to stand back and cherish what she has provided! We cherish our foundation girl!

Blackbeard won the Reserve Black Male Championships at the 2022 AOA National Show (Out of 36 black males) and the 2022 MAPACA Jubilee at almost 10 years old! Amanda Vanderbusch's comments were , "very very impressive", this is what happens when they are put together corrrectly - they hold up over time", and much more. Blackbeard is stamping his powerful frame on all of his offspring which is creating a powerhouse of breeding alpacas! Blackbeard named 2019 Futurity Herdsire of the year in Small Farm division!
