SOLD - Congratulations to Kim Kline of Havenfield Farm in Birdsboro, PA. Words fail to describe the many attributes of this male, and we're thrilled that he has a chance to work on the East Coast. The judges agree with our assessment of his potential with 3 times 1st Place and Reserve Champion, 1st Place at 2005 GWAS, 2nd Place at AAA Futurity, and 2nd Place at 2005 AOBA Nationals. He is a stunning boy with an amazing temperament. Now with over 35 cria on the ground it is clear that After Hours is delivering in the breeding barn. We can safely say (as safe as genetic predictions can be) that After Hours is consistently producing cookie cutter replica's of himself. From deep black & grey color pedigrees he has produced black or grey in 11 of the 12 black & grey dams bred to him. Females that bring other colors both in phenotype & genotype he tends to let the dam's color come through. He has produced gorgeous maroons & fawns with excellent fleece character and high frequency crimp. One thing for sure. His kids have his boxy true-to-type huacaya frame, substantial bone & stunning head all covered in crimpy, dense, bundled fleece. His offspring that have been shown have represented their owners well. The latest is our own Bellatrix taking 1st in both conformation and fleece at the 2009 AROW Composite show & snagging the Color Championship in a combined class of Blacks & Browns and Reserve Championship at 2010 PNAA out of 25 blacks. Sable is one of our born & raised show girls. With an impeccable 3 generation black & grey pedigree, she has proven her worth in our black breeding program. Her sire is Patagonia's Compadre, a well known producer of quality blacks. Her dam, AFR's Bolivia is a Victor granddaughter out of a true black dam. Sable has absolutely correct conformation, a great head, excellent size of bone, and a crimpy bay black fleece. She is a beautiful sweet tempered girl, and a stellar mom with great mothering skills, carefree births, and a milk machine. Her first cria was a typey bay black out of light fawn Fandango's Masterpiece Vermeer. Her second is a stunning true black daughter, Darcey, out of Silver Grey Aussie Rockford. Darcey has wonderful style & a bundled crimpy fleece sure to succeed in the show ring. Sable was one of our show string stars, and now has proven her worth in the cria barn. Bred to our true black 3X Reserve Color Champion, Xanadu After Hours she produced a stunning bay black daughter, Happy Hour. We bred her right back to After Hours for a repeat performance in fall 2011. She produced her third daughter in a row, a gorgeous medium fawn with dark pigmentation that gives her that "wow factor". We named her Afternoon Delite. Sable will be held over to move her to a spring summer birthing schedule. Great Style, Great Genetics, Great Production History. Sable is a reliable, quality black female who continues to wow us with her offspring.

Description

SEE AWESOME PACKAGE PRICE AND AUCTION OPPORTUNITY FOR AURORA AND DELITE AT OREGON FLOCK & FIBER SEPTEMBER 22-23! CHECK PACKAGES. Afternoon Delite came by her name naturally. The last cria of the year, we were thrilled when not only did she arrive four days prior to our departure for our daughter’s Mexican Riviera wedding and cruise, but was also the third female in a row for her dam, Sable. Out of a bay black dam, and true black sire, After Hours, Delite is a full sister to bay black Happy Hour born last year. Sired by our stud Xanadu After Hours, her pedigree boasts bloodlines from Peruvian's Presidio, Caligula,& Victor, and color from Patagonia greats Caballero Andante, Compadre, Queen of Spades. Delite is one of those cria that arrived full of life. She hit the ground running and has kept the older cria on their toes from day one. She is a lovely honey gold color with dark skin, points, and those deep penetrating eyes that make her a hard one to miss in the field. She has an endearing personality, always the one to come up to check out whatever you are doing. She has excellent boxy conformation, crimpy bright fleece, and will be an excellent addition in a black breeding program looking to improve the quality of dark fleeces.(Her first histogram came in at 19.6 micron) These fawn girls out of black parents can be invaluable in upping the ante in dark fleeced offspring. With Wayne's retirement last year we are purposefully keeping our breeding girl numbers to only four. Delite a lovely girl with a typey look, and would be a perfect choice for a new breeder wanting to have multiple color options with future breeding selections. We also have available Oregon Trail's Aurora who is the same age as Delite, and currently living at Stonyridge. Aurora's owner has just moved and currently without pasture, so needs to minimize the number of animals she is boarding. Aurora has an equally nice pedigree out of grey genetics. We are packaging these two girls at an irresistible price. See packages.
