SOLD - Congratulations to Kim Kline of Havenfield Farm in Birdsboro, PA. Words fail to describe the many attributes of this male, and we're thrilled that he has a chance to work on the East Coast. The judges agree with our assessment of his potential with 3 times 1st Place and Reserve Champion, 1st Place at 2005 GWAS, 2nd Place at AAA Futurity, and 2nd Place at 2005 AOBA Nationals. He is a stunning boy with an amazing temperament. Now with over 35 cria on the ground it is clear that After Hours is delivering in the breeding barn. We can safely say (as safe as genetic predictions can be) that After Hours is consistently producing cookie cutter replica's of himself. From deep black & grey color pedigrees he has produced black or grey in 11 of the 12 black & grey dams bred to him. Females that bring other colors both in phenotype & genotype he tends to let the dam's color come through. He has produced gorgeous maroons & fawns with excellent fleece character and high frequency crimp. One thing for sure. His kids have his boxy true-to-type huacaya frame, substantial bone & stunning head all covered in crimpy, dense, bundled fleece. His offspring that have been shown have represented their owners well. The latest is our own Bellatrix taking 1st in both conformation and fleece at the 2009 AROW Composite show & snagging the Color Championship in a combined class of Blacks & Browns and Reserve Championship at 2010 PNAA out of 25 blacks. Check out his progeny links at www.stonyridgealpacas.com

Steele Magnolia

HuacayaBred (Female)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 850255DOB: 9/14/200321 yrs
Steele Magnolia is the offspring of our best true black female, Peaceful Valley Grace, and the undisputable powerhouse of grey genetics, Aussie Rockford. Maggie is an absolutely stunning silver grey girl. Her pedigree is a phenomenal combination of black and grey genetics perfectly balanced with Accoyo/Peruvian bloodlines from Yupanqui, Felix, and Guellermo. Maggie's dam, Grace, is a Michelangelo daughter who displays an elegance and presence that is captivating. Grace's award winning history at halter and fleece always placed her at the top of her class. Maggie's sire, Aussie Rockford, is a 1/2 Accoyo silver grey proving himself a prepotent male with an enviable record of over 90% grey or black offspring from a variety of dam colors. He is a national award winning male whose show career highlights included 1st place at 2000 CABA, Estes Park, and Sun City Sizzle, 2nd at AOBA nationals; and 1st place at 2001 AOBA nationals at halter and fleece, EVAA fleece and Alpaca Adventure fleece shows. Maggie is a beautiful medium silver grey with many positive attributes. She possesses perfect conformation, excellent fleece coverage and character, with an endearing personality that makes her standout from the herd. Maggies's show record is impressive, and she consistently receives judges comments as a "full package" female. 2005 her "accomplishment year" with 2nd and Reserve Champion Female at the Heart of the Valley, 2nd at Alpacapalooza, and 1st and Champion Grey Female at the level V AWE. She is a cornerstone foundation female. Her first cria a bay black male sired by Crescent Moon's Kryptonite standing stud at Sleeping Monk Farm in New Hampshire, and her second cria, Cadence, sired by SA Peruvian Black Epic, is a striking true black female who looks as stunning as her first. '08 produced a silver male out of Victor's Julius, and '09 a dark rose grey Rincon Cloud Daughter, Brooklyn Roads, who was Reserve Color Champion at 2011 Level IV CABA and now firmly settled into our foundation herd. Her '11 edition is another female, bay black Abbey Road. Abbey is a stunning After Hours Daughter, and a Reserve Color Champion as well. She is rebred to Rincon Cloud for hopefully a repeat performance of Brooklyn Roads.

Iron is back in our pastures for semi retirement.. we will have from time to time progeny and potentially bred females for sale. One of his female offspring we kept in our breeding program is the dam of the 2023 AOA Grey Fleece Color Champion.. AND she is Harlequin.. so we thought maybe we should eek a few more cria out.. inquiries welcome. 2015 Histograms just in! AFD 24.7 SD 4.5 CV 18.1 CV 89.7 Curve 36.4 at FIVE YEARS OLD!!! What can I say - when Dee Sousa ran up to me at the bar at the 2011 Futurity and said "wanna go in on Iron!!!" how could I say NO... and so the story began - we had the winning bid and we took this little weanling home with us. His full sister sold that day for over $80,000.... we KNEW we had a winner - we just had to wait while he grew up. And grow up he did - winning a number of championships along the way including a sweep at IAO 2012 winning the Grey Male COMMERCIAL Halter Championship and Reserve Grey Male COTTAGE Fleece Championship - A fleece good for BOTH divisions!! And THIS YEAR SPINNERS DREAM IAO 2013 - The top award in the Cottage Fleece division! So yeah - he has WON a whole rack of ribbons for us, but really? What I am excited about is his fantastic fineness and the consistency of that fineness thru out his fleece and colored fibers - they are ALL fine... beautiful hand, stocky bone, BEST HEAD IAO 2011!! so yeah - really nice head too.. and all that color... and all those ever so famous ancestors - what a pedigree this boy has - very deep - very proven.. I simply can't wait to get MY first offspring on the ground - he is going to ROCK our colored huacaya breeding program. Check out his pedigree, look over his winnings.. if you had a chance to get look at his fleece while he was on our show string! Well you KNOW its good. We have 2 of his offspring in our foundation APPY herd. He is listed for sale for the first time! Since we are only breeding for APPY now in our huacayas.

Description

Thank You and Congratulations to Sue & Bob Evon and Brenda & Ron Berg of Alpacas of NH on the purchase of this lovely female and her awesome female cria, Iron Rose. I can hardly wait to see how all your American Iron cria do in the show ring next year. Abbey is part of our "Fabulous Foundation Female" Sale. Price includes 2014 female cria Iron Rose at side & bred back to American Iron. Abbey Road made her show ring debut at the 2012 Northwest Alpaca Showcase. She placed second in her class of 8 females, and was then selected for the Reserve Color Championship. Judge Wade Gease selected her out of a field of 23 females for the coveted Reserve spot. Covered from the top of her stylish head with fine, dense, bright fleece, she is our second After Hours daughter to grace the Championship ring. Abbey Road is another lovely daughter out of our favorite grey female, Steele Magnolia. Maggie has consistently produced knockout cria for us who have matured into top show animals, including Stonyridge Kandor standing stud at Sleeping Monk Farm in New Hampshire, Stonyridge Cadence of Oregon Trail Alpacas, and our own Reserve Color Champion, Brooklyn Roads. Abbey is out of our true black stud, Xanadu After Hours. Maggie brings a pedigree filled with top bloodlines including, Aussie Rockford, Peruvian Felix, Michelangelo, Guellermo, and that is just the top side. The dams in her pedigree are equally top producers of Hannaruh, Silver Empress, and our top production female, Peaceful Valley Grace. After Hours brings ‘Round Midnight, Peruvian Presidio, Caligula, and silver grey Aysen2 Concepcion. Experienced breeders know the importance of loading a pedigree with predictable genetics, and this girl has top potential. For her first breeding we chose Rose Grey Aussie .38 Special son, American Iron. Years of breeding grey genetics told us that rose to bay black might not yield a predictable outcome, so her deep brown daughter was not a huge surprise. Iron is here for a second season, so we've chosen to repeat the breeding. Her dam and paternal granddam are silver, so we'll roll the grey dice again hoping for a repeat of Iron Rose but in silver grey.
