In '05, he was Futurity Reserve and in '06, The Champion. Ending with the National Championship at AOBA completing a great show career.
His fleece has an incredible handle. It feels like butter in your fingers and his character of crimp is consistent everywhere on his well-covered body. Several of the judges commented on the fact that the crimp extends into the belly fleece, down the legs to the knees, up the neck and is seen in abundance on his topknot. His conformation could not be better and his presence is outstanding.

Black Velvet has a great phenotype head and dense, fine, crimpy fleece that really shines. Opening his fleece takes your breath away! He displays pencil locks that fans in all directions and shows great uniformity even into his lower body. His sire is 10X Color Champ Zeph's Comorant. His grandsire is 10x color champ Zephyrus. His great grandsire is Royal Fawn who sold for $600,000
Black velvet is now proven. Look at Sweet Georgia Brown to see what he can produce. She has great conformation, and tiny bundles of fine, brilliant, crimpy, and consistent fleece. We think she is a true winner.
