Alpaca, Huacaya, Herdsire (Male) | Medium Fawn
AOA #31335065 | DOB: 10/27/2007 (17 yrs)
Sire: El Nino's Accoyo Michelangelo
31335065<--ari-->LF<--color-->HIS CRIA CONTINUE TO WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS! His grey offspring are spectacular enough for the Blue Ribbon at the prestigious AOBA Nationals and Futurity shows and have won multiple Color Champions again in 2010! Two grey offspring took BOTH COLOR AND RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION GREY FEMALES in a recent show! No other full Accoyos can boast this rare quality! Progeny Championships in white, fawn, brown, and greys! Sired by the now deceased El Nino (one of Accoyo Caligula's best offspring. El Nino was the 2004 AOBA Get of Sire, and was the 2005 Light Futurity Herdsire of the Year!). With El Nino's recent passing, Michelangelo has become one of his most prepotent progeny! To lose such a legendary macho in his prime makes the genetics of his top offspring even more critical to a well thought out serious breeding program.
Michelangelo has that extremely dense fine high amplitude crimp, and an incredibly even "peach colored" fawn fleece.
In late 2005 Dr. Norm Evans did a skin biopsy of this spectacular male, and he had a follicle density of an amazing 115 follicles/mm! (Post-calibration results were adjusted to 107 follicles/mm) His S/P ratio was an astounding 13.28/1! These are still unheard of statistics, and he PASSES THEM ON!
Michelangelo will be at Lakada Farm from mid-April until he leaves for the 2011 AOBA National Auction..where he will be allowed to enter a new era..with a new breeding program as his home~! It is with great sadness and anticipation that we look forward to watching his legend grow...and his impact be felt as the years go on....

Dam: Capree
31335065<--ari-->MF<--color-->Capree is a very big boned female that has very dense, yet fine fleece, even at 4 years old. She's the biggest female on our farm and will always be kept on our farm because of what she produces in her offspring.<--description-->
Description
Rock solid genetics and producers of multiple champions on both sides of his pedigree, Destino is making an impact on many breeding programs already...Let Destino's first CHAMPION be YOURS!
He not only has the look, but also the personality, which we feel is so important when making breeding decisions. Mild mannered and extremely easy to handle, I can walk up to him in the pasture to halter. I can give monthly shots & even trim toenails solo...but don't let his personality fool you, he's all male and definitely stands out in the pasture!!
Destino's uniformity is simply what all of us should be breeding for in our programs. His fleece is very consistent from the skin to the tip throughout his blanket in the categories of micron, staple length, crimp style, crimps per inch, brightness, and color. His density is superior, and talk about staple length - WOW!! If you need some fleece production, look no further; he's a fleece machine!!!
Hunger for a taste of the darkside? Desi can take you there too -- His first cria of 2012 was a TRUE BLACK female out of true black dam! This is exactly what we were looking for as our herd colors range from white to black. We are even more excited about his high potential for producing gray! His sire Michelangelo has made every color, so we're sure Destino will be able to make color even more consistently!!!!
Price listed is to purchase Desi in full; however, our 1/2 interest is also available at half that number. Desi is proudly co-owned with Keva Ranch in Kankakee, IL, and currently is vacationing in KY.
