Pride of America Son! This boy has true presence! Cinco is a very handsome young male with a shimmering silver blue fleece. His very long staple length and softness will make his very large heavy prime blanket a real pleasure for hand spinners and knitters! He will make his debut as a herdsire here at Epic Alpacas, with one cria due in Spring 2014 and a bunch of breedings this Fall for more cria in late 2014. He has a very classy pedigree that reads like a who's who of Peruvian champions. This quality breeding shows through in his flawless correct conformation. Cinco also has a very calm, VERY EASY to work with disposition. Cinco probably wishes he never went to The 2011 Carolina Alpaca Celebration - judge Wade Gease moved him down from second to third and said it was because he was fat! He came home to a new diet and went on to take a 1st and 2nd at shows later that year and has been a healthy boy ever since! On May 19, 2013 Cinco had a gorgeous true black cria named Cinco's Midnight Madness. In 2014, he produced a fantastic crop of 8 cria, including our own Isis, Serena, and Isolde - three outstanding females with excellent fineness and crimp!

Dam: Isabella's Sabrina

Bisturi daughter!

Isabella's Sabrina

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn, Dark Fawn
AOA# 1293340DOB: 6/11/200816 yrs
Sabrina is a full-sized, large-boned girl who has done well delivering crias. She's got beautiful vicuna markings, is quite friendly, and an easy keeper. She's the daughter of the famous grey herdsire Bisturi and the Granddaughter of Cahuide on her mom's side! On October 25, 2014, Sabrina had a gorgeous true black female cria from PLF Peruvian Silver Cinco. Sabrina is a great mom with lots of milk. Sabrina had her next cria in December 2017, sired by the legendary Snowmass Enlightenment! This pairing produced a robust, healthy, fantastically fleeced offspring! With her grey background and Enlightenment's great record throwing greys, we're looking for all their great qualities combined in an offspring that will be a great part of our breeding program in the future. Enlightenment and a Bisturi daughter - we think a match made in heaven! In 2018, we're switching it up and trying Sabrina out with a breeding for appy! Regardless of the color, we know it'll be another fantastic cria.

Service Sire: Crescent Moon's Wilkinson

Crescent Moon's Wilkinson

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 32670981DOB: 4/5/201311 yrs
Epic Alpacas is pleased to announce the addition of Crescent Moon's Wilkinson to our outstanding lineup of herdsires! Wilkinson is a 10-time Champion and more notably, he's the back-to-back National Color Champion, taking the highest grey male honors at AOA in both 2015 and 2016! Most recently, as a 3.5 year old, he took the Color Championship at the 2016 Alpaca Breeders Invitational in a very competitive group of greys, proving that even after having cria on the ground, he's still got it! It's no wonder that Wilkinson is such an impressive male. His sire, Accoyo America Jason, is a legend in his own time, winning AOBA Nationals Color Champion in brown three years running. It is rare to find such exquisite crimp, character and density of fleece as Jason. Even better, Jason has consistently reproduced those characteristics in his crias, at such a high level that even his white offspring are consistently ribboning in the competitive white classes, and many of his progeny are champions! Wilkinson's dam, Crescent Moon's Forget Me Not, is also a Color Champion in her own right, winning 10 blue ribbons and 4 banners, including 2010 Futurity Grey Female Reserve Color Champion and 2014 CABA Classic 1st Place Produce of Dam. Wilkinson's cria have started arriving here at Epic and we are THRILLED! So much density, so much character, so much grey! His eldest male offspring, Crescent Moon's Subasio, has started making his impact on the show circuit in Fall 2017 with a number of blues and a Reserve Championship at an amazingly competitive double show in Oregon.
Enormous thanks to Scott and Debbie Miller of Crescent Moon for sharing this incredible male with us - we are honored and delighted to be partners with them! Wilkinson is going to make one heck of an impact here and on the future of grey huacaya breeding!

Description

Serena is a beautiful girl- born at 20.8 lbs! She's out of our grey herdsire, Peruvian Silver Cinco, and our Bisturi-daughter, Sabrina. She's carrying a ton of fantastic grey genetics! Serena has exquisite fleece and great conformation. Serena is named after the main character in Debra Salonen's book, Nobody's Cowboy. Prior to writing her novel, Debra visited our ranch to learn all she could about alpacas to help develop the character, Serena James, an alpaca rancher in Montana. Debra was able to be here at the ranch for the magical moment of Serena's birth. To pick up Debra's book and read the rave reviews, visit Amazon here: Nobody's Cowboy...and look for mention of Epic Alpacas in the foreword - thanks Debra! Serena gave easy birth to her 2017 cria, a beautiful tux grey girl from our 7x champ, Ambrose of Milan. This cria's fleece is soft, bright, and displays nice character. The cria's sire, Ambrose, is a fantastic rose grey stud who has 7 Championships under his belt from highly competitive shows, beating a Futurity Champ and many other multiple banner winners! Ambrose is 5th generation grey out of two grey parents and is packed with grey genetics. Ambrose's sire, ATV Adonnis, is a 14x banner winner and a legend in his own time. Serena produced a beautiful silver tux grey female in 2018 when bred to 10X Champ, 2X National Champ Wilkinson! This girl has fantastic fleece and a great look! We look forward to watching her grow up! She's now 2-for-2 on producing silver grey females!
