With the release of the 2013 EPD reports from ARI, Legend finds himself right there with the top of all alpacas! With his AFD of -1.739 ranking him 366 out of 14637, you know he’s going to add fineness to his cria! That's nearly 2 microns he'll drop his progeny's fineness! Legend has settled a number of girls this Fall, with the pregnancies confirmed for crias in late 2014. So after that success, his breeding fee will be going up! Take advantage of this great price to add some great Snowmass genetics and Legend’s amazing EPDs to your program now! Snowmass Velvet Legend…Fawn with Black Points & Hidden Black Genetics! He is holding his fineness very well, having only lost 0.2 microns by his 3rd year - 18.1 to 18.3! Legend is out of two influential true black Snowmass Alpacas! His sire is the amazing AOBA World Black Fleece Champion, Snowmass Stirling Legend. Stirling Legend’s 5-year old black fleece was still in the 16 range with his histogram. He was exported to Germany in 2011 and was previously owned by Janus Alpaca and Snowmass Alpacas in Partnership. Legend’s black dam is Snowmass Velvet Promise, she has an amazing pedigree as well and recently gave birth a few months ago to a True Black Snowmass Matrix Midnight female cria. Grey genetics, throws grey!

EPF Holly Rose

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Brown
AOA# 30486201DOB: 4/8/200618 yrs
Holly has a wonderful dense, richly colored fleece, excellent coverage, handle and nice crimp. Holly is a smaller compact female that can easily breed back, birth and nurse her cria – all completely unassisted. She maintains her body score throughout nursing her young. All her cria are little teddy bear style bundles of fluff! With her rich colored back ground she can throw almost any color you can imagine. In 2010 she was bred to multiple ribbon winning grey male, Patagonia’s Luigi, to see if her silver lineage (and some silver fibers running through her fleece) would come through – they did, in 2011 she had Winchester, a beautiful grey (a combination of silver grey and rose grey). Holly has been very healthy, she has not had any health issues, she is a low maintenance kind of girl. Holly was bred to superb herdsire, Snowmass Velvet Legend, whose EPDs are outstanding with an expected AFD of -1.7! He’s in the top 2.5% of all the animals tested in the nation. On October 22, 2014, Holly had a gorgeous fawn girl that looks to have fine fleece with good crimp and a long staple. Holly's price does not include her 2014 cria.
