Congratulations and thank you to Brian Smith & Valerie Reiser, of Plum Creek Alpacas, for their purchase of Patagonia's Chief! PATAGONIA'S CHIEF Patagonia’s Chief, a true black top-sire on our ranch. Not only is he a champion, Chief is a proven Champion producer as well. He adds lots of density and staple length to his progeny, not to mention fineness, handsome typey head, and substance of bone. Chief's crias so far have had beautiful structure and uniformity, retained fineness, and consistency within their fiber. Depending upon the color of the dam, he has produced true black, bay black, silver grey, rose grey, brown & fawn offspring. Patagonia’s Chief is the son of of the legendary Patagonia's Lennox, who has countless ribbons, and is a 14x Get of Sire winner, including 3 Get-of-Sire Blue Ribbons! (Not to mention, he’s also the sire of Ernesto, our 7-time champion and Judge’s Choice ACE stud!) Chief's paternal grandsire is Danko 532, a multiple award-winning Grey champion stud from Alpacas de la Patagonia who is well-known in the alpaca world for throwing champions of all colors, especially grey and black (including many AOBA Champions). His dam, Patagonia’s Allegra won the Brown Color Championship banner for fleece at the 2008 AOBA National Show. Allegra also received 12 other ribbons, including Produce of Dam, two first place ribbons at AOBA, first place at MAPACA, and a second place ribbon at The Futurity. On top of that, Chief's maternal grandsire, Nishio was the 2004 All-American Herdsire of the Year and the 2007 Reserve All-American Herdsire of the Year! A SAMPLE OF PATAGONIA'S CHIEF'S AWARD WINNING PROGENY INCLUDE: ** PATAGONIA'S TWILIGHT - MRG Female 9/17/12 (Supreme Champion & Color Champion with Multiple Blue Ribbons) ** ESTATES CHIEF BLACK HAWK - TB Male 7/6/2019 (Color Champion, 2020 CABO) ** PATAGONIA'S DUSTY - DRG Female 9/20/12 (Color Champion & Multiple Blue Ribbons) ** STARSHIRE'S VICENTE - TB Male 7/20/14 (Color Champion & Multiple Blue Ribbons) ** ESTATES MANHATTAN - TB Male 7/11/15 (Res. Description

Olive is a true black Yearling who is on our 2014 & 2015 Showstring. We appreciate Olive for her bright fleece, fine black fiber, soft handle, true to type female, expressive staple, and advanced head. Gosh do we love to see FINENESS in TRUE BLACK! Olive spring show comments by Judges were: Fineness, consistency, perfectly square frame, perfect conformation! NWAS judge comments: Fineness, Structure and capacity of frame. We are very pleased with Olive as she turns 12 months old, and see her fiber expressing excellent characteristics that we would like to multiply in our herd! Olive's pedigree is truly impressive, representing several of Patagonia's best. Bred for Fineness on both her Dam and Sire lines with El Vasco and Lennox (Grandsire), she sure inherited fineness! Lennox, an 8 time color champion is without a doubt Patagonia's Top Herdsire! Olive's Sire is Patagonia's Chief a True Black Champion Male. After Olives show career ends spring of 2015, we would suggest breeding her for density, with care to keep the fineness! Her offspring will be show worthy and seed stock producers! SOLD! Congratulations to Scott and Julie Pieper of Panorama Ranch, they have a good eye and purchased Olive to begin her breeding career with Treasure Valley's Tesoro!
