5P Quicksilver/CP Jaxon/P Macusani
PRISCILLA, MoonTraxx ...de LaCroix
Alpaca, Huacaya, Open (Female) | True Black
AOA #32328530 | DOB: 9/18/2013 (11 yrs) (Due Date: 9/22/2016)
Sire: Rainbow Mountain Moontraxx
32328530<--ari-->True Black<--color-->Traxx has excellent fleece with big bold CRIMP, extreme DENSITY, and awesome FINENESS. He sheared 7 lbs. at 20 months old with a 4 lb. blanket.
Traxx placed 2nd at PAOBA with his CRIA TIPS still on! The male who placed first was solid white with 6 little brown spots. However, the judge said that Traxx's fleece was every bit as FINE as the white male's. MORE IMPRESSIVELY, Traxx won 2nd place at the 2012 MAPACA JUBILEE!
Traxx was sired by Little Reata's Peruvian MAXIMUS. MAXIMUS has Peruvian CISCO, 5Peruvian QUICKSILVER, and CPeruvian JAXON in his bloodline. Traxx's dam, MOONSTRUCK, is an Demetrio daughter who has a great track record of producing show-quality girls.
With his background, Traxx's could throw anything from greys to patterns. His first three crias were a true black male [black dam], a true black female [grey dam], and a fawn male [brown dam]. They all have amazing fleece, great staple length, good density, and really nice crimp.<--description-->

Sells with a FREE breeding.
Primera is never to be overlooked. Her 2011 son, Phillippe, will convince you!
Primera is a daughter of the famous, light silver grey Peruvian MACUSANI [ARI #117916] of WoodsEdge and the daughter of medium fawn 6Peruvian Good Fortune [ARI #811892]. Like her sire, she is a beautiful silver grey with excellent conformation.
Gentle-natured, Primera conceives easily and was bred three times to a wonderful, fawn herd sire, Napoleon de LaCroix [6Peruvian Romantico son], producing two fawn daughters and a son, PHILLIPPE, a vigorous and handsome ROSE GREY/fawn son with long, lustrous, fine fleece! Based on the grey in the top knot of one of her beautiful daughters, the markings on her son, and her grey and black ancestry [her grand dam: dark silver grey; her half-sister: black], I am confident that she will produce grey or black if bred to grey or black. Her crias exhibit fine fleeces, beautiful heads, and great personalities!
In 2012, she was bred to Rainbow Mountain MOOONTRAXX {"Traxx"} [5Peruvian Quicksilver/CPeruvian Jaxon/PPeruvian Demetrio/Peruvian Maximus] of Peaceful Pasture Alpacas [Curt & De Ruth]. Traxx, an award winner, has it all: fine, fine BLACK fleece; crimp; density; conformation. On September 18, 2013, Primera produced the beautiful, black TRAXX daughter, Priscilla, pictured on the right! Priscilla looks a lot like her sire but does have more coverage in black fiber than TRAXX does.
For 2015, w have bred Primera to MOJITO [see his web page], sire of grey offspring. With her percentage of female production [75%] and his ability to sire grey, we look forward to the outcome!

Description
With fancy markings [a few brown spots throughout her fleece], perfect conformation, and a regal presence, PRISCILLA stands out in a herd, and her TRUE BLACK, non-fading fleece looks like black velvet when shorn. PRISCILLA has the genetic potential of a notable foundation dam. For her first cria, she was bred to our impressive herd sire, Crusader's ARCHIMEDES de Lacroix, and a beautiful fawn & white APPALOOSA female, ANAXANDRA, was born on September 14, 2016. The birth was a dystocia, with muzzle and rear legs presented together. With veterinary assistance, ANAXANDRA was delivered but the stress of a long and difficult labor was too much, and, sadly, she did not survive. Within a few days, PRISCILLA succumbed to peritonitis, resulting from the delivery of ANAXANDRA.

Paternal great, great grandsire, 5Peruvian QUICKSILVER [ROSE GREY]: 1997 importation, 1st choice Peruvian Prestige owner selection. SIRE of SHAQUILLE [MRG], known for siring CHAMPION GREY offspring. "A great combination of ROSE GREY & SILVER GREY genetics: QUICKSILVER, SHAQUILLE, & The SILVERSMITH!"
Paternal great, great grandsire, CPeruvian JAXON [BAY BLACK]: one of the most sought after herd sires in the last [1998] importation, from the MACUSANI region of PERU. Proved his genotypic breeding value by consistently producing RIBBON-WINNING OFFSPRING. Fiber at age 17 still exhibited luster and crimp! "There is a reason so many top-end blacks and foundation production stock in the U.S. find the legacy of JAXON in their heritage. He had sired top-end show winners, solid production females, stunning black herd sires, such as CPeruvian AXTION JAXON, and more."
Maternal grandsire, Peruvian MACUSANI of WoodsEdge [SILVER GREY]: Sire of 122 crias. Sired a ROSE GREY female cria in his last year, at approximately 20 years of age! 64% of MACUSANI's crias were either GREY [34%] or BLACK[30%]. WONDERFUL statistics for an early import!
