Leilani is a beautiful granddaughter of 4Peruvian Legacy, with strong black genetics from her mom's side. She's an especially sweet girl, and easy to handle. This clearly runs in her family, as her dam and all of Leilani's crias have those same qualities. Leilani is a proven mom. All five births were easy and unassisted, with plenty of milk for the cria. She really is an easy keeper. Her most recent son, Cupid, is a beautiful light fawn, sired by Altiplano's Rico Gold. His fleece is extremely fine and blindingly bright with nice crimpy bundles. We like him so much we have repeated the breeding. Ooh! November 2014 update! Leilani's son Cupid just brought home a blue ribbon in both halter and fleece from the A-OK Alpaca blastoff show!

Aussie Bon Jovi

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Brown
AOA# 32022834DOB: 8/28/201014 yrs
Here he is, Aussie Bon Jovi, full brother to Aussie .38 Special and Aussie Guns-N-Roses. For anyone who's been paying attention at all, you already know his brothers are two of the best, most prepotent grey herdsires in the country. These are solid, well proven genetics. Both of Bon Jovi's parents, as well as his siblings and their offspring are known for their elite fleece characteristics. This includes holding their fineness as they age, beautiful consistent crimp over the entire blanket, great density, a lack of noticable guard hair, super brightness and extremely long staples. Bon Jovi has a solid, well proportioned frame, a perfect bite, and a ton of fleece! He sheared a full 12 pounds in 2013 and consistently gives us a 6 pound blanket. His 2014 EPD results have him in the top 1% for fleece length (understatement? He's listed #7 out of 16,828) as well as total fleece weight (29 out of 16,828)! Aussie Bon Jovi comes from a line of animals with a strong and healthy reproductive background. We are thrilled with his crias (his first daughter, Evanescence,is a beautiful rose grey) and they are following in their dad's footsteps with several blue ribbon and championship wins. *We are LOWERING OUR PRICES temporarily because of an upcoming move, so if you want him now is the time.*

Description

Calypso is a beautiful girl with a nice solid frame and great coverage, super fuzzy everywhere and a very pretty head. She's covered head to toe with fine, and amazingly soft fleece. She has the black coloring of her dam, Leilani, and she carries grey genetics from her champion sire Misty Ridge's Silver Quest. She's been healthy and robust from the start. Born at 16 lbs, she grew to be 99lbs at 6 months old, thanks to her dam's ample milk production and mothering skills. Of course her sire is a solid framed boy with tremendous substance of bone, so I'm sure that helps. As an added bonus, Calypso is one of the sweetest girls around. She will come to greet us with kisses, and has a calm, easy demeanor that's just a joy to be around. This holds true even when she's pregnant, which is a relief, but not a surprise as Calypso's dam is calm and easy going as well. Calypso's first cria, Aukai, had a fantastic histogram at 9 months old: AFD 17.4, SD 3.5, CV 20,1, %>30 0.7. She is currently bred to Aussie Bon Jovi, our brown fleece champion and full brother to Aussie .38 Special and Aussie Guns-n-Roses. It'll be interesting to see if those grey genetics show up, since they're coming from both sides. No matter the color though, this will be an exciting addition to the herd next summer.
