Outstanding crias on the ground!
Altiplano's Rico Gold
HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn
AOA# 31928625DOB: 9/11/200915 yrs
Rico's fleece has beautiful and very consistent crimp everywhere you look, from his top knot to his tail. He is extremely dense, with a really nice staple length, as well as great fleece coverage and very little guard hair. He has a great overall look to him with a solid, compact frame and a perfect bite. On top of all that he's a sweet boy with an even temperament. Rico's sire is a multiple champion white male, Travesura's Altiplano Treasure. His dam, Eros' Moonshadow, is a beautiful light fawn who has produced ribbon winners every time, including blues and a color champion. This is a male that we've admired since he was a cria and he wasn't for sale. He has the qualities of fleece, conformation and pedigree that we are very excited to be adding to our herd. Rico started breeding at barely 23 months old, and has been very efficient. In fact, his co-owner at Que Sera Alpacas calls him 'The One Hit Wonder'. His first cria arrived mid July 2012. As of now he's got 7 girls and 2 boys on the ground, and we're seeing a definite pattern of very dense offspring with beautiful crimp. I'd say we've got a winner on our hands!
