ATV Rockerfeller

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn
AOA# 20022730DOB: 5/10/200519 yrs
ATV Rockerfeller is a proud and beautiful boy, with a compact body and incredibly long legs. His sire, Accoyo Legacy, was the most expensive herdsire in the country, a half-interest selling for $750,000. Legacy was famous for stamping his imprimatur on all his crias, passing on fine fleece, crimp, and density, lots of density. He also passes on correct conformation. Rock also has Accoyo Elite as his grandsire on his dam's side as well as Peruvian Don Julio. Elite is famous for long-lasting fineness of fleece, and Don Julio passes on great fleece architecture. A great combination in one herdsire. We bred him to just two of our lesser girls in 2008 when we bought him. The picture of the fawn fleece on the farm page is from one of his cria on our farm. This cria was out of a white girl with no crimp to her fleece and not much of it, although her fleece was still admirably fine for her age. 2009 brought us three girls. By the way, he has thrown 86% girls so far. The first girl tested out at 14.1 microns, with density and beautiful crimp. Four more crias were born in 2011, three females and one male. The fleece structure of all four is outstanding.EPD's are the key to fleece production and future great offspring. Rockerfeller has very good EPD's and several of his offspring have numbers equaling THE TOP 1% of EPDs in the country! Rockerfeller gets rid of the %over30 microns category. He turns primary hair into within .04% of the micron count of secondary hair!! Take a look at Peruvian Betty or Mae West. Betty's AFD equals the top 1% in the country, as does her spin fineness, her percentage of over 30%, and her MSL. Her other numbers are equal to the top 2% to 4% of 40,000 alpacas tested in 2012 and researched by ARI. This male can greatly further your herd with absolutely outstanding fleece. Every cria of his on this farm has greatly improved EPDs, and the future offspring out of these crias will be equally impressive. As the original Legacy died in 2008, a breeding to this boy or our other Legacy son, Crescent Moon's Legacy de Oro, will definitely get you a recognizable slice of the Legacy heritage. We are charging $1500 for driveby breedings, or $2500 for the full three month stay, with pregnancy testing included. 2011 and 2012 crias fleece tests have come back, with all fleeces from Rockerfeller crias ranging from 15 to 18 microns with high frequency crimp and from 0.03 to 1% fiber over 30 microns. These tests also came back with mid 40 to high 50 percent curvature of crimp. This boy throws some gorgeous crias...many with color now that we are breeding to girls with color. He usually throws fleece darker than the color of the dam.

Service Sire: Brunello's Blackjack

Studmaster son, blue ribbon fleece

Brunello's Blackjack

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Bay Black
AOA# 30377226DOB: 9/29/200618 yrs
This boy was sired by MSA Peruvian Brunello, a NWA studmaster. He has Hemingway for fleece fineness, PPPeruvian Dracula for crimp and extreme density, Camilio for all of the above. His dam is of Chilean heritage, with LSG, MSG, BB, and true black in her lines. She is the daughter of Greystone, a medium silver grey herdsire well known in Canada. Her dam,a bay black, comes from the Cortez line. Blackjack has won 2 blue ribbons for his fleece, 2007 AlpacaMania spinoff, and AWE 2008 spinoff. The Judges comments at Alpacamania; " Incredibly soft and silky fiber with great shine and brightness." Judge comments at the AWE competition: " Shiny fiber with beautiful brightness". Blackjack passed this crimp and brightness to the cria that we had out of our Jovanna, Alpaca Alley's Vixen. We decided, after seeing the results of this breeding, to see if we could find this male. We had purchased Jovanna already pregnant. We finally saw him for sale on the Rancho Keleje website, a farm in Fillmore, CA, and had the honor of purchasing this great boy. He arrived on our farm in mid-October 2010. With the purchase of Blackjack and Patagonia's Luigi, we have obtained superior genetics for our upcoming herd of blacks and greys. We already have a superior herd of whites, lights, and fawns, with royal fleece on most of our crias and yearlings. Blackjack sheared 8 pounds at 20 months of age, and has continued that tradition forward.

Stunning fiber,genetics

Description

We have been breeding up each generation, and gathering more and more great genetics as we went. We sold no alpacas for years, concentrating on bettering our herd. Now, we have some alpacas to showcase and sell, and this girl is a good example of our work. We have not shown any alpacas this year, and this girl would be a good one for someone to purchase and win some championships! Her first year fleece tested out at 15.5 microns, 3.2 SD, 20.6 CofV and 0.03% fiber over 30 microns. Her fleece curvature is 51.2. She had 5 inches of growth in 190 days! ATV Rockerfeller is her sire, out of Legacy, Accoyo Elite, and Peruvian Don Julio, all males used frequently in the Snowmass herds. Mae's dam is Peruvian Pearl, out of Hemingway, Hemingway's Tequila, Pperuvian Victor, Accoyo Vengador, and 4Peruvian Pachacuti...three of these males are or were NWA Studmasters, prime fleece males. Vengador was known as having the most consistent fleece in fineness and lack of variation that the owner of Pacific Crest Alpacas had ever seen. Add all these expensive and elite animals together, and you have an incredible package in one female. Remember the famous human Mae West's favorite line.."Why don't you come up and see me sometime?" This girl had a beautiful dark brown female out of Brunello's Blackjack, a bay black blue-ribbon winner out of a NWA Studmaster, Brunello.
