He took his his 3rd Get blue ribbon at the ’09 Great Western Show with 3 perfect juveniles, Xanadu P. Cachet, Xanadu P. Mistral and Xanadu P. Encanto. The little “cookie cutter” trio went on to win “Breeder’s Best as well. Amazing Fleece! We were delighted to be able to purchase this remarkable herdsire at the AAA Futurity Auction in 2004, and are pleased to be standing him in West Virginia. He has the best one year micron we’ve ever seen: 12.8 mic; 2.6 SD, 20.4< & 0.3% + 30 microns at 2 years of age its 16.5 mic, 3.0SD, 18.2CV and 0.3% + 30 mic, and at 4 years of age, after 2 years of breeding, it's a wonderful 19 mic., 3.6 SD, 18.9 CV, 99.5 CF and a CRV of 53.2. Not only is his fleece fine, it was loaded with character, completely uniform throughout the blanket and thoroughly bundled. This boy is the son of PVA Wellington, who is an Accoyo Augusto son, and he has lots of color in his background, too. He now has over 50 crias on the ground, and they're breath-taking and always carry fine fleece. We co-own him with Xanadu Farm Alpacas, and he stands with us in West Virginia from March through September.

Vicuna Velvet is a special addition to our herd sire lineup as he is one of the few Porteus, now deceased, sons that Snowmass Alpacas kept. Vicuna Velvet's dam, Snowmass Heidi Love, is one of their most treasured Snowmass Invincible daughters. He will bring fineness and color along with a great pedigree of genetics to any female he breeds.
