KAHUNA HAS MOVED ON TO JOIN HIS ANCESTORS WITH PACHAMAMA! More reason than ever to investigate procuring genetics from his sons and daughters mostly available here at Pucara International! We can proudly say that this legend of the suri world has achieved what no other suri male has achieved! 2016 FUTURITY LIGHT HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR 2014 FUTURITY RESERVE LIGHT HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR 2013 FUTURITY LIGHT HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR 2012 FUTURITY LIGHT HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR 2011 FUTURITY LIGHT HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR 2010 FUTURITY LIGHT HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR 2009 FUTURITY LIGHT HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR 2008 FUTURITY RESERVE LIGHT HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR Sire of more white Futurity champions than any other herdsire. Grandsire of Chakotah 2011 Reserve and 2013 Futurity Dark Herdsire of the The Year. Grand sire of Chakotah's Wyuna five times Judges Choice winner and second place behind Chakotah at the Futurity Dark Get Class. Kahuna also won 2012 combined Get Class and 2013 Light Get Class. We have lost count of all his Get class winnings. We were smitten with Kahuna from the day he was born. Besides having one of those special personalities he had everything we would have hoped for when we considered the breeding that produced him. But we knew enough about suris, and especially ours, to know he was special. Thus he has become one of THOSE premier herdsires producing unbelievable babies like Pucara Kallina purchased by Ann and Bill from Coldwater Creek in Michigan....Kallina is one of our best ever! And Pucara Hanapepe the 2008 Futurity and AOBA National Champion. Pipeline, Manu, Yadin and Chico, all Futurity and Nationals white and beige male champions and the list goes on. So why were we so sure about this boy? Because he has exquisite parentage! His dam is Halona Happy Fortune Accoyo, our best. Every one of her cria have been champions bar one, all her male cria became herdsires. The father of Kahuna is Accoyo Amador who Don Julio Bareeda when last in the US used as the "perfect " example of a suri herdsire. Amador was an important foundation herdsire for our Aussie show team. Look at Kahuna's progeny...genetics don't lie! Neither does science..look at his EPD's!!! At the top or very near it in every trait tested. And please note the very high indexes of accuracy. El Dorado Crystal Baroness

SuriOpen (Female)White
AOA# 1225488DOB: 3/27/200618 yrs
1/2 Accoyo Crystal Baroness is out of our AIA Accoyo Sir Baronoff. She displays a beautiful head, lusterous fleece and great bone density. She is a wonderful mom and has rich milk. Her first cria, a female out of Pucara's Accoyo Kahuna, has been rated in the Top 1% of EPD's for fleece weight. Her name is El Dorado Kahuna's Crystal or KC and she has since been sold. Crystal Baroness was then bred to Derwydd Accoyo Chaska a full accoyo fawn National Champion. She did not disapoint us. El Dorado Yuma is everything we could have asked for. Independant locks, luster and loaded with "all about me" attitude. We have just sold Yuma as we currently co-own his sire, Accoyo Cha'ska. Yuma in his first 3 shows have brought us 3 Blue Ribbons not to mention 3 Championships at IAO. See Yuma's awards below! Crystal Baroness last cria was a beautiful female out of Prince of Persia of PVA. We named her El Dorado Persian Princess. This little female has amazing bone, density and "Oh those locks"! We have since sold Persian Princess. With the purchase of Crystal Baroness you have an opportunity to breed to any of our Suri herdsires on stud row. And we have some beautiful new ones to suggest to you. THE END OF AN ERA 6PERUVIAN CHACHAPOYA 5110 IMPR98 JANUARY 1, 1997 – MAY 27, 2015 How do you write an obituary for an alpaca….by first talking about his background and then what he meant to you. Chachapoya or “Chach” as we liked to call him came from the famous Don Julio Barreda’s, “Estancia Accoyo Ranch” in Peru. He was in the last importation of Accoyo Suri Alpaca in 1998 and he was hand selected by Don Julio Barreda to come to the United States. He spent most of his life on a farm that mostly bred huacayas so he was seldom used, to this day his bloodline remains rare. His life thereafter remains shrouded in mystery and scandal as he was sold and then repossessed on a foreclosure. Scott and I of Alpacas of El Dorado purchased a female to be specifically bred to this rare herdsire…but he disappeared before we could get her pregnant. Only to find out later that he was purchased by Pucara International Stud, by our friends, Al Cousel and Jude Anderson. We were beyond excited when we were able to purchase a half interest in this male and also bring on a third partner, Dale Davis of Derwydd Alpacas. And thus became my love affair with this truly magnificent alpaca. He is the “Warrior”, truly his eyes have seen more than mine. He was well traveled and accustomed to fitting in to his setting. We felt honored when he came to our ranch to live out his days. Still breeding until just a month ago, he was always loud and boisterous whenever he was allowed to do his job. There are few of us who have the honor of continuing his genetics in their breeding programs by having one or two of his offspring. I say hold these alpacas close to you….the genetics will always be rare and fine. Just recently Chachapoya won a 2nd in Get of Sire Suri at Alpacas Fest West and a 1st Place in Get of Sire Suri Light at the California Classic…..his genetics live on…. Hold on to a piece of history… Right to his end he held his stance, his luster, his look of eagles. It was an absolute honor in knowing him. We see him everyday in his offspring and wish him well, as we know he is with Bruxo, Ganador, Torbio and others…..who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge before him.

Description

This might be a crazy offer, because this is a top of the line female with a rare female cria at side. This was a paring planned when we were able to purchase an interest in one of Don Julio Barreda's personal males from his breeding program....And we have the full accoyo suri male on our ranch. 6Peruvian Chachapoya is the last Accoyo '98 Imported Suri male that is still working in the United States today. We would like to offer you El Dorado Kahuna's Crystal, we call her KC for short, who is so beautiful we posted her picture on our Openherd website page along with her female cria, by 6Peruvian Chachapoya. KC is out of Pucara Kahuna and she has the Kahuna density, luster and presence. Pucara Kahuna has the name, pedigree and offspring to back up this girl. KC is also a great mom with plenty of milk. If you are looking to propel your breeding program to diverse genetics, you need to take a look at these girls. We don't often put this offer on the table, and Chachapoya's breedings are closed to the public. We will include a breeding to any of our stud males on our stud row. I would suggest El Dorado Accoyo Rubicon who is rated #1 in the Nation for Spin Fineness and AFD/SD. Just in!!! KC herself is in the top 1% of 2013 EPD for Fleece Weight. She is rated #35 out of 6,296 alpacas tested in the Nation. If you are looking to add fleece weight to your Suri's this girl can do it for you. If you are looking for a rare genetic suri package, K.C. and her daughter, El Dorado Krysta from 6Peruvian Chachapoya will get you there. We would suggest showing El Dorado Krysta....her fleece is getting better and better. SOLD!!!!!
