SuriHerdsire (Male)White, Beige

This pattern male has excellent lock and luster. His locks are very tiny and do not have so much twist so are easy to process them. His micron count at 5 years old is still only 22.7 and is any spinners dream. He is a neat freak and that just makes skirting and cleaning his fiber that much easier. He also has grey skin. His lock is twisted and just moves with this awesome looking boy. His granddad is Great Balls of Fire. He does not have any white animals in his background, just one beige. Fusion is an easy handler and a good breeder. He is not overly aggressive, but has no problem putting a female down. Fusion's ability to throw color is evident with his first cria. His first cria, Little Blackfoot, hit the ground on 9/15/2011 and is a beautiful pattern boy with TB as his main blanket color, his first cria was out of our Aztec. His 2nd cria, is Franqlin, out of Bon Qui Qui and has a black rump just like his dam. His 3rd cria is now on the ground and could be a twin to his first, Little Blackfoot. Different dams but the cria look nearly identical.

Aztec came to us in the summer of 2010 with her cria Chimalli at her side. Aztec is a large framed girl weighing in the 175 pound range when open, however, she is very easy to handle and is an easy breeder. She had her 2011 cria on at our farm on 9/15/11, a beautiful boy Little Blackfoot out of our Fusion. As you can see, the pattern on these two boys is very similar, so the pattern must come from Aztec and the color from the Sire. She has brown, gray and black in her background and has a small gray spot on her chest, so the color possibilities are endless. She is not an especially fine fleeced alpaca at this point in her life, but we don't have any idea what she was like as a youngster. She is a first generation USA alpaca and still needs to be bred to nice males for improvement in the cria. She would make a nice foundation female for a new farm. Aztec was bred to ITS King Cole (TB and 1/4 Alianza) for a fall 2012 cria Wrecker. Our first 2 cria that she produced had beautiful patterned "saddles" in their blankets, which when spun, would create 3 separate colors of yarn. Wrecker is solid except for an interesting "milk smeared" face. He has grown into a beautiful male and future herdsire. We decided to breed to our own Padre Pio for a fall 2013 cria that was born September 16th, a beautiful white male Juan Martin. Padre's latest fiber stats show him with an AFD of 17 and a CV of less than 20. This has the possibility of being the best cria we have ever seen on our farm and she could be yours! We did re-breed her to Padre Pio for 2014 and they produced a beautiful solid black girl. She is a wonderful mother and is a gentle girl. We bred Aztec to Fusion and will have a cria on or about 8-28-16.

Description

Check out Little Blackfoot's certificate. You will notice that he has genetics that are very unique and not found on most farms. He is out of our MMF Peruvian Fusion and AW Aztec Gold. Blackfoot is very curious and loves to play king of the stall by standing with his front feet on the threshold of the doorway into his stall. His markings are very interesting with a pure true black blanket trimmed in medium brown. He also has some black/gray spots on his neck and a thin black band above each foot. He has a lot of black freckles on his skin as well. His ears point almost forward when he is checking out something new. Blackfoot has a flat but well defined lock style and like his sire, likes to keep clean. He is a joy to spin. Little Blackfoot placed sixth in a mixed class of multis at the 2012 AOBA National Show. He actually has three colors in his blanket and should be shown as a fancy, but they did not have enough fancies at that show to make up a class of their own.

Awards

[6th] 6th place 2012 AOBA National Show in the mixed multi class. There were not enough fancies to have a class of their own.
