Padre came to us in 2012. His fiber is to die for, really. Only 19 microns, soft and lustrous. Nice flat locks and he is usually very clean and his fiber is so nice to work with. He has produced 5 offspring for us, all being very nice. We have him bred again for 2016 fall cria. We love his fiber. He is quite the ladies man. Always standing and always watching his harem. He was bred to Aztec, and produced his first offspring in the fall of 2013 Martin. We decided to re-breed Padre & Aztec for a 2014 cria, and got a beautiful black girl, Priya. Padre is beige and the Aztec is a light fawn. Both of them have fantastic locks and wonderful personalities. He was also bred to Mojolica and that gave us Baker. He was bred to Celeste resulting in a beautiful maroon girl and Maggie giving us our 2nd boy and the cria are very sweet and friendly, lots of beautiful rich lustrous locky fiber. Padre is an easy handler and a very nice male with lots of luster and locks.

Aztec came to us in the summer of 2010 with her cria Chimalli at her side. Aztec is a large framed girl weighing in the 175 pound range when open, however, she is very easy to handle and is an easy breeder. She had her 2011 cria on at our farm on 9/15/11, a beautiful boy Little Blackfoot out of our Fusion. As you can see, the pattern on these two boys is very similar, so the pattern must come from Aztec and the color from the Sire. She has brown, gray and black in her background and has a small gray spot on her chest, so the color possibilities are endless. She is not an especially fine fleeced alpaca at this point in her life, but we don't have any idea what she was like as a youngster. She is a first generation USA alpaca and still needs to be bred to nice males for improvement in the cria. She would make a nice foundation female for a new farm. Aztec was bred to ITS King Cole (TB and 1/4 Alianza) for a fall 2012 cria Wrecker. Our first 2 cria that she produced had beautiful patterned "saddles" in their blankets, which when spun, would create 3 separate colors of yarn. Wrecker is solid except for an interesting "milk smeared" face. He has grown into a beautiful male and future herdsire. We decided to breed to our own Padre Pio for a fall 2013 cria that was born September 16th, a beautiful white male Juan Martin. Padre's latest fiber stats show him with an AFD of 17 and a CV of less than 20. This has the possibility of being the best cria we have ever seen on our farm and she could be yours! We did re-breed her to Padre Pio for 2014 and they produced a beautiful solid black girl. She is a wonderful mother and is a gentle girl. We bred Aztec to Fusion and will have a cria on or about 8-28-16.

Description

Juan Martin is a beautiful yearling boy. He is beige with a very tiny fawn spot on the back of his upper neck, maybe the size of a dime. He has tons of curly locks and is very lustrous. We think he'll be a great herdsire some day! And to look at him now, show quality as well. Martin has long ropy locks with tons of luster. He is a large framed boy with great bone structure. Martin came to us by breeding Aztec and our own Padre Pio.
