Peruvian Challenge

HuacayaMaleWhite
AOA# 186603DOB: 6/6/1997
We bought Peruvian Challenge from Stewart's Royal Alpacas and we have been extremely happy with this outstanding characteristics in our herd and his offspring. Density is the watchword with Challenge. Sandy and I have never seen another alpaca with density like his. His crimp and confirmation is pretty awesome, too. Stewart's have been in the business over 14 years and they said he was one of the very best herdsires they ever owned. He has over 50 registered offspring on the ground and is the most prolific of all of the Chaparral offspring. A farm that is looking for a very well established male with great credentials and a reasonable price need to take a SERIOUS look at Challenge. We will have over 10 offspring from him between 2006, 2007, and 2008 so we need to let him move on to help somebody else's breeding program. AND the PRICE is extremely reasonable. And check out some of his superb offspring at our farm! Challenge and Calista produced Blackforest's Red Beard in 2007 and so far Red Beard has won 3 First Place Blue Ribbons and 1 Reserve Color Championship. Challenge produces award winning offspring!!!

Dam: Angelica's Freckles

A Camelot Daughter

Angelica's Freckles

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Brown
AOA# 816222DOB: 10/5/199925 yrs
Freckles was bred to Snowmass Andean Night and they produced an outstanding dark brown male in June 2010. This little male is the best offspring Freckles has ever produced for us. Each year her offspring seems to be getting better. Freckles delivered an extremely nice dark fawn/light brown female cria out of Equilizer in 2009. Freckles delivered a very nice looking and handsome med fawn male with a white face and white socks. He is one of the cutest crias and has a personality to match. Freckles has a great personality and disposition. She is very curious and is the one of the standing matriarchs of the herd. Her beautiful fleece has a deep rich light brown color. She also has great density, staple length, and handle. We almost always sell her fleece to local hand spinners right off her back after shearing.

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 1179248DOB: 6/13/200420 yrs
OUTSTANDING YOUNG HERDSIRE! HE is full Peruvian and also FULL ACCOYO. He has Caligula and Auzengate on his sire's side and Augusto and Royal Fawn on his Dam's side. His Granddam sold at the Futurity Auction in 2005 for $43,000. Breedings started Fall 2006 with 4 confirmed pregnacies in 2 months! Jules fleece is very fine and extremely crimpy. We took him to a large farm (over 150 alpacas) for shearing in the summer of 2005 and the ladies cleaning and skirting the fleeces said it was one of the nicest they had seen. They told us it was show quality in every aspect. Jules has a great disposition and outstanding confirmation. Jules has recovered from a dog attack that happened in October 2005 and is really doing great. We bred him Fall 2006 to one of our original foundation herd females, Elisa. King Triton is his first offspring at our farm. Take a look at his pictures. We have two offspring from him in 2007 and 5 for 2008. All of them have extreme amounts of crimp and really look great. Jules definitely is one of our top breeding males at Black Forest Alpacas with his Accoyo/Peruvian heritage and great crias on the ground. Contact us today to purchase a breeding to Jules or to purchase a female already bred to Jules!

Description

Blackforest's Snow White was born to Angelica's Freckles (Light Brown) dam and was sired by Peruvian Challenge (the most prolific offspring of Ppperuvian Chaparral 6011). Challenge has about 50 award winning offspring on the ground and Snow White is no exception. She is priced extremely competitive as a full peruvian female with color in her background that should be ready to breed this fall (2008). Her price could go up after she is confirmed pregnant. We are selling her at this price which includes a breeding to anyone of our Black Forest Alpacas herdsires. She is a big healthy female that weighed 23.5lbs at birth and is about 80lbs at 6 months. She got her density from her sire and has superb fineness and crimp. Snow White will be a great foundation female for years to come.
