Equilizer levels the playing field! A very photogenic male, Equilizer blends a daughter of Accoyo Legacy (who sold 1/2 interest for $750,000) with Snowmass Peruvian Black N' Gold (one of the premier colored herdsires in the US), for a very striking male. Black N' Gold is out of Snowmass Peruvian Escobar & Escobar is out of Peruvian Hemingway. THAT IS WORLD-CLASS BLOODLINES!! Equilizer has more then outward beauty and conformation, just look at his fleece! His fleece is outstanding in every major characteristic from fineness, density, luster, handle, and staple length. Equilizer shows more energy and testosterone then any of our young males. He is fun to watch and is just striking in every way. We had a monthly meeting at our farm of our local farm group (Southeastern Colorado Alpaca Breeders) and several farms looked at him and decided to do outside breedings to him. He should have 7 crias on the ground in 2008. We have him bred to at least 4 of our own females this year. We just got our first Equilizer cria on the ground out of Calista. WOW!! This little female is going to compete in the shows extremely well. Equilizer is ready for more outside breedings. The summary of his many awards are listed below but a Reserve Color Championship, two 1st Places and two 2nd Places in big classes demonstrate that his championship heritage was inherited from his dam and sire. 1st Picture was taken at 2 1/2 years old (Feb 08). What a MACHO Stud with some of the best bloodlines in the country. Purchase a female bred to Equilizer or purchase a breeding to this award winning herdsire.

Calista is a beautiful granddaughter of P. Pluro and is our best colored foundation female. You would be hard pressed to find a better breeding female when it comes to confirmation, fleece, and breeding capability. She has a fine fleece with great coverage. Her light brown female 2005 cria, Ion's Beauty, out of Ion is nothing but amazing (Beauty got a 2nd place at TxOLAN 06, a 4th at MOPACA 06, 3rd at GWAS 06, and 1st @ ABR's Fall Fest 06). Beauty also has nice coverage and is uniform throughout. Calista was bred back to SA Peruvian Odessey on 7 Jun 05 for a May 2006 female cria we named Blackforest's Hot Cocoa. Her color is essentially a "hot cocoa" dark brown color. Hot Cocoa placed in several shows both in Halter and Fleece and sold to a farm in New Mexico last May 2009. Calista delivered another female in 2009, a light fawn female out of Equilizer. Calista was bred to Snowmass Incan XXXtreme for a June 2010 cria. Red Beard is a multi-pinto but his blanket is a solid color, a beautiful rich medium brown color. Red Beard has won two 1st places and a Reserve Color Championship and another 1st Place in the AFCNA Continental Fleece Show 2008 in the SOLID BROWN JUVENILE CLASS. Needless to say, we are not anxious to sell Calista because she is such an outstanding foundation female that produces colored show winners every year. If you are looking for "Calista" quality but not for $5,000, please take a look at her son or daughter--Red Beard or Creme Brulee'--at very reasonable prices. Produces award winning crias: Ion's Beauty, Blackforest's Hot Cocoa, Blackforest's Red Beard, Blackforest's Sequoia, and Blackforest's Creme Brulee'

Description

Sequoia has Legacy, Hemingway, Escobar, Snowmass Black N' Gold, PPeruvian Pluro, and Silver Creek bloodlines. She is a big healthy light brown female that should be ready to breed in the late fall 2009. She has outstanding fleece with fineness, crimp, long staple length, and great density. Her conformation is superb. She is out of Calista D559 AOA which is one of our very best foundation females of color. She produces exceptional crias. We just sold one of her daughters, Ion's Beauty. Beauty was a blue ribbon winner and we think Sequoia is just as good as her 1/2 sister. If you want color with great bloodlines and a very reasonable price, you need to come see Blackforest's Sequoia. Make a call or appointment today!
