Producing Absolute Beauties!
AOV Accoyo Royal Accolade
Alpaca, Huacaya, Herdsire (Male) | White
AOA #30029254 | DOB: 9/14/2007 (17 yrs)
Sire: PPPeruvian Royal Fawn
30029254<--ari-->Light Fawn<--color-->Some would argue that no other alpaca in the country has had as much impact on the industry as PPPeruvian Royal Fawn. He is a full Accoyo male with a history of passing on his fine-fibered genetics to his 336 offspring. Consistent show winners and high sellers, his progeny boast 64 known champions and almost 190 blue ribbons in every solid color group.
Hand selected by the late Dr. Jim Vickers, Royal Fawn is the only light fawn Accoyo ever exported from Don Julio Barreda's herd. According to Julio Barreda, Royal Fawn ranked as one better than he had ever produced at Estancia Accoyo in Peru. PPPeruvian Royal Fawn was the 1999 and 2000 "Get-of-Sire" winner at the AOBA National Show, and record breaking highest selling male in alpaca history in October, 2005. He is the sire of Dom Lucilio, Double "O" Good's legendary male known as the Herdsire of Champions with 73 known champion and nearly 200 blue ribbon offspring.<--description-->
Dam: Maple Brook Shabu
30029254<--ari-->White<--color-->Shabu recently delivered her fall 2010 female cria sired by Snowmass White Gold. "Accoyo White Gold's Bling" is extremely bright with wonderful density. Shabu has been rebred to our full Accoyo MF herdsire, Enterprise, for a fall 2011 cria. Her previous three cria have been nothing short of outstanding so we can only imagine what this pairing with Enterprise will bring.
This lovely full Accoyo has great presence and is covered with ultra-fine fleece. Her sire is Maple Brook's multi-champion Accoyo Bolivar who is a Vengador son. Her dam, Accoyo Angelique, is a daughter of Accoyo Godfather, a relatively rare bloodline in this country.
During a visit with a customer and his consultant, we had the consultant take a look at Shabu's fleece. She could barely contain her excitement when she took a look at the "matchstick bundles" in this little girl's fleece that go all the way down to her belly button.
Don't gamble by overlooking a proven female--a proven breeder and a proven mom. You should never take these attributes for granted.

Description
We are very honored to have won three first place awards out of four entries at the 2010 AOBA National Spin-Off with Royal Accolade being one of them. Our female, Keepsake, was the highest scoring white huacaya and our herdsire, Enterprise, was the highest scoring fawn. Since luxurious yarn is the ultimate goal in breeding alpacas, we feel that these honors are solid proof that our breeding program is right on tract.
Royal's first son was born in the fall of 2011. While we expected something nice out of Royal, what we got far exceeded our expectations. This male, at the age of seven months, had a histogram of 15.8/3.0/18.7/0.2% greater than 30--the finest of our entire 2012 shearing.
I recently spent some time with Royal Accolade. He is phenomenally dense with his dam's match-stick bundling that is uniform from end to end. He is perfectly square and compact, has a correct bite and a very easy-going temperament making him a delight to handle when it comes to herd health and showing. We have shown him in numerous shows and he has placed in the all that he was entered in--a consistent ribbon winner in white classes!
We were elated to get his full Accoyo dam's histogram back following our April 2012 shearing. Shabu has beautiful fleece with matchstick bundling and seems to have made quite a contribution to this young male's fleece already. Staying power is the key to success in this business and Royal's dam certainly has it. At the age of eight, Shabu has an AFD of 22.1/3.9/17.6/3.3% greater than 30--precisely what you should be breeding for.
He is eager to breed and would certainly infuse some exciting genetics into your herd--Royal Fawn, Bolivar, Vengador and Godfather. Now that's a power-packed pedigree.
We are selling half interest in him with very liberal terms. You can plan on him spending most of the time at your farm. We feel that he has the ability to pass on some highly desirable characteristics and for that reason would like to retain half interest in him.
