Royal Rose Son!

Snowmass Royal Moonlight

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Fawn
AOA# 1397666DOB: 8/28/200420 yrs
When we purchased Moonlight to add to our breeding program he was a young unproven male with flawless conformation and incredible fleece. With the genetics of Hemingway and Bueno from his sire Royal Rose and Legacy from the incomparable Legacy Gold on his dam's side we knew he was a genetic winner. The question was, could he produce? A son of Snowmass Royal Rose and Snowmass Legacy's Moonlight combines the powerhouse genetics of Peruvian Hemingway, Peruvian Bueno and 4Peruvian Legacy. He has exceptional, balanced conformation with excellent bone and wonderful proportion. He has a majestic presence and proud stance. His fiber has a high curvature and fine micron for elite fiber production. And YES, he produces! Moonlight's first cria was beyond what we had hoped for with his father's conformation and amazing fiber. The crias kept arriving and what a surprise, we have black, bay black and fawn! Who knew he would produce such dark colors with his trademark high frequency crimp and perfect bundles? With over forty cria to his name, we could not be happier with his contribution to our breeding program. Update: Moonlight is limited to two outside breeding as we are currently working to promote his stellar offspring. We do still breed moonlight to some of our elite females.

Glenbar's Dahlia

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
AOA# 1436143DOB: 8/27/200420 yrs
Dahlia is a Gold Stock granddaughter on her sire's side and a Royal Peruvian Valor (Royal Fawn son) granddaughter on her dam's side! Her soft, fine fiber is milky white except for a patch of fawn which may contribute to the reason she easily produces cria with color when bred to color. Dahlia wasn't shown much, but she placed every time shown. Her sire is an amazing multiple blue ribbon winner and color champion. She has easy births and is a very attentive mom with plenty of milk. Dahlia has consistently produced dark offspring when bred to a dark herdsire. However, they have very fine fiber like their mom. We think she is really a brown animal with a large, white spot! Dahlia gave us another beautiful brown boy, Instigator, out of Hidden Pastures' Moonlight! Dahlia's most recent cria, Bobbylita, is white proving you can choose the cria color depending on the sire's color. Dahlia is currently bred to Doulton.
