Sire: Shavano
Shavano is our half Accoyo true black herdsire who with his second crop of cria entering the show ring this spring, just won the prestigous title of AAA Futurity Dark Herdsire of the Year. His luster, lock and density are extreme and very rare for a black suri. His mother, GLL Macatawa is a medium fawn daughter of 4 P Macusani, one of our foundation grand dams,who has had 8 female crias in a row and no males. Shavano's sire is 4P Miguel, a white full accoyo male. As a juvenile, Shavano won his class and the Black Color Championship at the 2006 AAA Futurity, and was the Reserve Black Color Champion at the 2006 MAPACA show. As a yearling he was first in his class at the 2007 AAA Futurity and AOBA. His first crias were outstanding and were shown in 2009. We only showed two of his kids, GLR Arappaho, now owned by Linda Kondris of Pines Edge Suri Alpacas in Colorado, who was Black Color Champion at both AOBA and MAPACA, and GLR Tica who was Brown Reserve Color Champion at AAA Futurity and MAPACA. So far this spring at the AAA Futurity, we took four Shavano kids to show. Three juveniles and GLR Tica who now shows in the yearling class, and all four were awarded Reserve Color Champion title in both black and brown, and the male and female categories. At GWAS in Denver, Shavano won Get of Sire, and GLR Tica was Brown Female Color Champion, and Judges Choice. GLR Ali was Black Female Color Champion, and GLR Picasso, only six months old was Reserve Brown Male Color Champion.

Full Peruvian
Tambora is a deep dark fawn, very dense and high luster full Peruvian female. She was shown twice in 2004 and at the Great Midwest Alpaca Fest(2nd) and at Michigan Breeders Show (1st). Her black Synergy son, GLR Chinaco, was the 2006 AOBA Res. Champion Black Male. Tambora's 2006 cria, GLR Anejo, is a full brother to Chinaco, had a very strong show career too. Tambora's 2008 cria sired by Shavano, GLR Tica, is a beautiful brown female who is a member of our showstring soon to retire but not before achieving 4 Reserve and One Color Championship and Judges Choice.

Description
GLR Tica is a dark brown incredibly dense and lustrous Shavano daughter, one of the first Shavano kids that we have ever shown. Her mother, Tambora of Peru was one of our favorite dams who we sold at our Great Lakes Classic II sale in 2009. We purposely kept Tambora's daughter Tica, as we were not willing to let go of her mama's genetics due to her track record. When we bought Tambora, it was because of her extreme density and high luster, and Tica has inherited both those traits and more from her papa. Shavano is extremely dense and lustrous as well. Tica was shown in 2009 as a juvenile and was Reserve Brown Female Color Champion at both the AAA Futurity and Mapaca, and she won her class at AOBA Nationals. In her final year of showing she was the 2010 Reserve Brown Female Champion at the AAA Futurity and Brown Female Color Champion and Judges Choice at the 2010 GWAS in Denver and the 2010 AOBA Brown Female Color Champion at Nationals. She was bred to our 5 time Color Champion, 3/4 Accoyo Young Felipe, and had a beautiful beige high luster female, GLR Tashi, who will did well in the show ring spring 2011 and is now a foundation female at the ranch. Tica had a very nice Young Felipe daughter, GLR Tessa who only showed two times in 2013 and was Color Champion at both the 2013 AOBA Nationals and MAPACA. Tica's 2015 male cria, GLR Tico, sired by Cinders, the 2016 Dark Herdsire of the Year is a true black solid male who did very well in the show ring as a juvenile. Tica is bred back to Cinders and expecting a summer 2016 cria.
