GLR Amelita is one of only two 4P Condor daughters we have managed to keep for our own herd. She is a high luster, tight penciled rose grey appaloosa female with striking presence. She placed second at the 2004AAA Futurity, 5th at MAPACA 2004, 2nd at AOBA & 1st at MIAF. In 2005 GLR Amelita was the AAA Futurity Grey Color Female Champion. GLR Amelita's dam, GLL Alita is one of our herd favorites. GLR Amelita's 2006 cria is GLR Coyhaique, a grey appy Synergy son who won the Grey Suri Color Championship at the 2007 AAA Futurity, was first in his class at the 2007 AOBA Nationals as a juvenile and won Reserve Grey Color Champion.He is now co-owned with Shasta Springs Alpacas. Her 2007 cria is yet another gorgeous dark silver grey appy son, GLR Kolaqua.So far this season, GLR Kolaqua was third in this class at the 2008 AAA Futurtiy and won Grey Male Color Champion at MAPACA 2008, the biggest alpaca show in the nation,and AOBA Naitonals in both 2008 and 2009! Description
GLR Coyhaique is an appaloosa rose grey son of GLR Amelita, who was a Grey Female Color Champion at the AAA Futurity, and Synergy, also a mulitple champion, himself and sire of mulitple champion offspring.Coyhaique's luster and density and lock are outstanding and he has the big bone and wonderful conformation that we like to see in a breeding male. Coyhaique has two full siblings who are both mulitple grey color champions as well: GLR Kolaqua ( 2008 Mapaca and AOBA Nationals Grey Male Color Champion and the 2009 AOBA Nationals Grey Male Color Champion) and GLR Atacama (2009 AAA Futurity and Mapaca Grey Female Color Champion and the 2009 AOBA Nationals Reserve Grey Female Champion). We co-own Coyhaique with Page and Craig Nitterhouse of Shasta Springs Alpacas. His name comes from the town in Chile that is considered to be the capitol of Patagonia. His first crop of cria were born in 2009 and he continues to produce award wining cria!
