Friar Tuck is conformationally correct with great leg coverage and his fiber has nice crimp, great handle. It took first place in the 2006 VAOBA Alpaca Expo Spin-off. His color is Light Fawn but actually has an apricot hue to it. Friar Tuck is out of DAFI Tabitha sired by Peruvian Ringmaster, well known for his wonderful fiber. She is an excellent mother, very attentive and caring. His sire, Knight of Camelot, has perfect conformation, heavy bone and soft handle to his fine, uniform, lustrous true black fleece. Tuck has inherited the best of both! We are pleased to report that Tuck has a few cria on the ground. He sired Quinn, Autumn Bliss, Angel and National Treasure. Quinn and Tuck are hardly distinguishable in the pasture. They share the same color, presence and attitude!

Miss Wise Obsession, a proven black beauty out of two black parents, has good conformation, presence and a rare bloodline. Miss Wise is tall, intelligent and has impressive presence. She is a wonderful mother having plenty of milk and is very protective and caring. She is dam to: The Sheriff of Nottingham Hollow (1216288) Nottingham Hollow's Black Velvet (30472730) Nottingham Hollow's Dougal (31071638) Quinn of Nottingham Hollow (30477124) Amerikhan Obsession of ANH (31851831) and Dynomite's Soot of ANH (32325843) Dougal is a very dark brown with a lot of black markings. He presented at 19 pounds; was up standing and walking within the first hour and found the milk bar almost immediately. Dougal is the full brother to Black Velvet and watching the family dynamics out in the pasture is very gratifying. Black Velvet is being very maternal seeming to follow in her dam's shadow! Miss Wise was bred with Nottingham Hollow's Friar Tuck for her 2008 cria. Tuck's sire is the true black Knight of Camelot. While Tuck is light fawn we were none-the-less surprised to see a light fawn male appear on Thanksgiving morning 2008. Quinn is the spitting image of his sire - at 2 1/2 years old even more than as a cria. We really have to watch for signs to determine which we are seeing in the distance. Amerikhan Obsession is out of Mada Vemi's Amerikhan Legend and is a gorgeous "blue brown". She has the great presence all Legend's get have and is a true beauty. We'll have her judge checked this fall to help determine her color. Sassy, as we call her, will be bred for a fall 2012 cria. Dynomite's Soot is a beautiful black female out of Marathon's Dynomite. After shearing in spring of 2011 she has been determined to be a true black in spite of boasting a red top knot! She inherited her dam's presence and will possibly end up herd leader; her sire contributed to her great fleece and solid conformation. Miss Wise is intentionally currently open.

Description

Meet Quinn of Nottingham Hollow, son of Nottingham Hollow's Friar Tuck and Miss Wise Obsession. We have to confess that when he first appeared on that Thanksgiving morning in 2008 we called him Yam. It fit with the holiday but actually stood for Yet Another Male. And another light fawn with a true black parent! His sire was out of a true black sire and white dam. We so expected Tuck would throw his black recessive gene when put with Miss Wise. Sigh. With that said, the disappointment did not last long at all! Quinn has grown into a nice adult and looks to have inherited his sires attributes. He is now available for breeding.
