This dark, dark brown son of Hakuna Matata, an outstanding solid black West Coast male with a perfect bite and superb conformation, has been a farm favorite from the day he was born. His sire has dense, crimpy fiber with "incredibly soft handle" - judges always comment on it. As a yearling, Hakuna Matata's AFD was 20.7 microns, and his awards include Reserve Champion OFFF 2000, 1st Place OFFF 1998 fleece, 2nd Place CABA 1999 (Julio Sumar), 2nd Place CABA 2000 (Maggie Krieger) and 2nd Place EVAA 2000 fleece. Angus's dam, Sabrina, is a rich, dark brown half-Peruvian with incredible density, staple length and crimp - Maggie Krieger awarded her fleece a third place at the EVAA 2001 show. Sabrina also has heavy bone, great conformation and a gentle, easy-going temperament. Angus has inherited wonderful density, a magnificent typey head and a fantastic temperament from his dam, plus really nice handle and dark color genetics from his sire, who has two full generations of true black ancestors. A ribbon winner at the largest show in the nation at only 10 days over the minimum age limit to show, Angus is definitely one to watch. In addition to the three generations of true black heritage inherited from his award-winning sire, Angus has dark color genetics from his dam.?Sabrina is a rich dark brown half-Peruvian, whose black Chilean dam has all black and grey ancestors. A granddaughter of Accoyo Peruvian Leon, Sabrina and her sire Leo have both won awards for their fleece and are great fiber producers. Angus has excellent bone density, coverage and conformation, and shows genuine promise as a junior herdsire candidate. We wish to retain 5 breedings to him at this price to continue these award-winning colored genetics in our herd. CONGRATULATIONS TO SUE AND CHUCK IVES OF VA ON THEIR PURCHASE OF THIS SPECIAL BOY. THANKS ALSO FOR ALLOWING US TO RETAIN BREEDINGS TO KEEP HIS BLOODLINE IN OUR HERD!

Tabitha was our second foundation female purchased years ago when we first started out. Daughter of Peruvian Ringmaster and DAFI Dove, this beauty has maintained her great conformation, good strong bones and her sire's fantastic fleece. Obviously the years have taken their toll but her fiber is still dense and usable. When bred to color Tabitha can throw color. She is out of Allianza lines. Tabby is currently bred to our grey, Sheriff. Tabitha has proven herself to be a great mother and is very attentive to her cria. She often has all of the crias around her and seems to all but glow in her role of dam and auntie!

Description

Nottingham Hollow’s Duncan is the first male sired by Thistledown’s Angus of Argyll. Angus inherited wonderful density and a magnificent typey head from his dam, plus the three generations of true black heritage inherited from his award-winning sire. Duncan’s dam, DAFI Tabitha, is a white alpaca out of DAFI Dove and Peruvian Ringmaster, a white Allianza import known for his wonderful fleece characteristics. Tabitha is an excellent mother and a strong boned densely fleeced alpaca with the full Peruvian look about her. Duncan inherited all of the good fleece characteristics of both his sire and dam and has his sire’s wonderful head. Duncan was shown once in October 2007 and placed 6th in a class of 10. His fiber has been turned into the nicest roving one could ask for. He's more than ready for breeding and is available for hire at introductory rates.
