UPDATE: LIGHT SABRE HAS THROWN COLOR!!! WE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DARK FAWN DAUGHTER FROM LIGHT SABRE OUT OF A BLACK DAM! WE ARE THRILLED! HE CONTINUES TO THROW COLOR WHEN BRED TO DARK FEMALES! WOW!!
MFI Peruvian Light Sabre is an elite male. He has won multiple Judges' Choice Awards under some of the best judges in the industry. His conformation is flawless and his body is densely covered with elite fleece. His phenotype is outstanding. It's no wonder as his sire is the now deceased Mister Antonio, a male unbeaten in the show ring and acknowledged as one of the very best, most densely-fleeced sons of Peruvian Hemingway. His dam is Peruvian Love Bug, who has accoyo Bravado and Augusto in her pedigree.
Light Sabre took the show circuit by storm winning 2 Judges Choice awards. Even more impressive is the fact that he did this all in one showing season as an adult at the age of 3.
Light Sabre was lot #7 in the 2011 Magical Farms Breeder's Choice Auction. If you follow the Breeder's Choice auction you know that lot 7 is reserved for their best.
We are very fortunate to be able to infuse these genetics in our herd and look forward to awesome offspring from him. If you are serious about your breeding and the future of your herd look to Light Sabre to add elite genetics.
UPDATE - Light Sabre has done it again. Another purple banner at Northern Illinois at the age of 4. Judge commented he is the total package. Incredible fineness for a 4 year old male. Perfect head and extreme density.
Another purple banner at 2011 Mid-America 2011 Springfield Riverside Alpacafest.
Our first Light Sabre offspring is a gorgeous dark fawn female from a black dam. Her fleece shines!!
Another daughter for Light Sabre. Sweetness N Light! Excellent crimp structure and density on this little gal!
Brightness is his thing! He passes extreme brightness in fleece on to his offspring! If you need that quality added to your herd give Light Sabre consideration.

Description
Full Peruvian!
Outstanding genetics. Calm personality.
He is turning out fantastic and we couldn't be more delighted!
15.6 micron fleece at 30 months.
18 micron at 42 months.
19 micron at 54 months. With a National First place in Cottage Fleece.
Absolutely stunning fleece, soft, bright and consistent. Every judge has commented, "Consistent." "Great Fineness"
More consistent that the male placed higher, which has always taken champion.
These numbers put Leo in the EPD TOP 5% for fiber diameter and SDFD.
We are offering three breedings each year for $500. Our philosophy is that excellent genetics should be available to all breeders. We are breaking from the high-priced fashion and pricing Leo at an affordable rate so that even the small farms can improve their fiber, for the betterment of the entire industry. What is the catch? The catch is that these breedings are strictly limited. We believe that success comes from a well-executed plan. If YOUR plan is for fantastic genetics and superior fleece then plan ahead and reserve one of the very limited outside breedings.
After the reduced rate breedings each year Leo will be closed to outside breedings.
We feel that Leo will bring long-lasting consistent fleece characteristics along with excellent conformation. The animals in his pedigree reached their pinnacle after maturity, at 4+ years of age indicating lifetime quality in this package.
Leo inherited excellent traits from his multiple banner winning sire, Light Sabre, a son of the one and only, Mister Antonio. Light Sabre is a JUDGES CHOICE winner with an impressive collection of Champion banners. This son is clearly following in his father's footsteps. We are a very small farm and not heavy on the showring circuit, but Leo has competed very well against high-caliber showring professionals, usually placing immediately behind the National Champion. His fleece is extremely consistent, bright and very fine. First place at the 2017 Railsplitter Alpaca show. Judge Sharon Loner commented on his fineness and remarking that he is a "Good breeding male."
And his maternal side is equally impressive.
A daughter from a Mister Antonio female crossed with My Peruvian Obsession, son of the legendary Pperuvian Dracula!
Leo is an outstanding male and we cannot wait to see his cria. He produced three fantastic cria for 2018. All very light colored, even from black and dark brown dams. But wait, in 2019 he made dark brown from a black female!
He passes some color, but not very often. But that is Ok with us, each farm has commented that the fleece on their Leo cria is fantastic!
As an adult male he received a 19/20 for fineness and handle in the National Alpaca fleece show!
Stop by to take a look at him or request a fleece sample. We are booking breedings for next year. Limited value-priced rates.
