Congrats to Sherri Wasieleski for purchasing our interest in LLC Peruvian Kevlar!!! ******Auction is for 1/3 interest*********** Kevlar's fawn daughter, Frita, is now a 3x blue ribbon winner!!!!! Kevlar's first cria just took a 1st in a huge white class at MOPACA at just 7 months old!!!! Congratulations to Patti Jennings at WillowBend Alpacas on the arrival of Kevlar's first two crias and they are both girls!! "They are truly amazing! TONS of coverage...very nice...I wish I had him bred to a few more!!"-Patti Jennings. Kevlar is not your typical boy. He is VERY special as you can see by looking at his fleece to the right.Don't let his grey background fool you, just check out his fiber stats, they are awesome! He really is the total package. We knew as soon as we saw kev we had to have him for our breeding program. . Kevlar's dam Copper Rain is a multiple ribbon winning girl. Her genetics pose unlimited possibilities for fabulous fleece and a rich array of colors. Her coppery colored face, ears and boots make her totally adorable and hard to miss. Copper Rain wears a dramatic, prominent forehead and wide, huge dark eyes rimmed in brown. Her Dam is a beautiful medium fawn with excellent comformation, whose sire was the beautiful red fawn Dakotia owned by Magical Farms. Her sire is 4 Peruvian Black Magic who is also the Sire of gorgeous grey herdsire, NicNac.Kevlar's sire is the one and only Peruvian Pride of America.America is a Pure Peruvian treasure! Impressive grey genetics from sire Dom Timbo, and advanced fleece characteristics from outstanding fawn dam 6Peruvian Maisa combined to produce a fleece of amazing fineness, density, staple length, brightness and high-frequency crimp. His first fleece took Best of Show at Fiberfest 2002; the next a Blue Ribbon at the AOBA National Conference 2003.Strong and square with terrific bone, great conformation, majestic presence. At nearly 4 years of age his AFD remains a low 20.7 microns. Description

First place fawn female at 2016 National Alpaca Fleece show spin-off and second for cottage fleece. Judge Wade Gease was very impressed with the uniformity between the secondary's and primaries. This is hugely significant in a mature animal! We are talking years of amazing fleece production, exactly what is needed in today's alpaca programs. COLOR! Look at Veva's pedigree and you notice two things. First, she has some amazing ancestors but not the same ones being used over, and over and over. Outcross genetics here. Second, look at all the color. This girl is loaded for grey, or black or fawn. She is a beautiful fawn color that spinners adore and refer to as "peach." Viva Bell is a bashful girl. Viva attended one show, bringing home a third place ribbon but was not a fan of the commotion. She is a sweet girl but prefers to be at the back of the pack and surrounded by the safety of friendly alpacas. Unless it is time for food. Then Viva is all business and most certainly makes her presence known. The density on this girl is AMAZING and each year we cannot wait to get her fleece! Her beautiful buttery fleece came in at over 7 pounds of firsts and seconds and nearly 3 pounds of skirted blanket in 2015. We've not noticed any decrease in quality year over year, long staple, consistent, crimpy and fine. This is one fleece that we always set aside for our own uses or for a a short list of elite spinners. Her conformation is perfect. Veva has a boxy frame with a deep, wide chest. Correct feet and legs which promise she'll be prepared for a long and healthy productive life. Her pedigree contains a mix of colors and, as mentioned earlier, we are told she has a high likelihood of producing grey. The low price reflects that we are a small herd that only breed 2 alpacas a year and they are only allowed 2 exposures to obtain their pregnancies. Veva Bell has had some challenges getting pregnant and maintaining pregnancy. As a result, she comes with full papers but no breeding guarantee. Desert Son is on the top and bottom of the pedigree and look at his award history! http://www.openherd.com/alpacas-for-sale/13109/sca-peruvian-desert-sun
