Marcy is a mature dam but all the positive ways. She is proven to produce improved crias following the colors of their sires. She has bred, birthed, nursed and nurtured with ease all females except for one male, and in fawn and brown colors from fawn sires and black color from brown, grey and black sires. Marcy has herself and has passed to her crias an uniformity of micron and style across her blanket, which leads to a lasting next-to-skin comfort-feel. Her fiber is still soft and bright now, with a smooth handle after several pregnancies. When bred to different males she has taken their attributes and added them to hers for an improved cria. Marcy is a calm alpaca -- not a 'troublemaker' in the herd, easy to handle, and while being a good mom she isn't overly protective of her crias so as to make cria care a problem. She has no or care issues and is in good health. She is an attentive dam and productive nurser, with all of her crias having grown well. She is nicely conformed, still well balanced and relaxed in her easy, healthy movement. Our shearer had commented on how good her condition was, never guessing her to be a senior girl until told, and asked us how we kept our older alpacas looking good. His assessment reinforced our belief that good breeding and robust fiber come from healthy alpacas not 'dieting' to reduce their micron. She was sweet, calm female. She .passed away in the summer if 2022 at a few months shy of 22 years old. RIP.

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Fawn
AOA# 32596106DOB: 7/5/201212 yrs
This male is rooted to the ground. In his maturity, you cannot see his toes in his tree trunk legs with massive coverage on heavy bones. This frame is extremely solid, well conformed, and easy moving. His crimp is still popping and consistent across his blanket. His micron is moving out as he works in our breeding program but his handle and staple are still great! All this fleece and body 'goodness' is topped with a sweet, calm, just-the-facts-m'am personality that makes him an awesome herdsire.... And, then take a look at the fiber of his offspring! This poor boy didn't get enough love, figuratively and literally, on our farm. Though very nice, we always have so many good males that we keep on our relatively small farm and with our lean towards dark coloration, he often was left off the dance cards of the ladies. We LOVED his boy Superluminal, so we repeated this breeding for another beige-white offspring but this time a GIRL!!! Imagine my excitement. Her name is Vanora and YES I am planning on breeding her to our BLACK herdsires once I get our genotype results to pick the best one. And, then, we can breed her to one of our brown, roan or fawn herdsires. The sky's the limit when you have nice white fiber and will accept any color offspring! We also have him bred to our champion Provenance, who has produced beautifully fine, richly golden fawn offspring albeit males (boo). When they were weanlings, I KNEW they would pair nicely together and desperately wanted to complete that breeding. Now that I have, we have Supermassive available for sale simply because we are moving to all dark and closed farm so he would continue to not have enough work. So, we hope you will consider what he can do for you when paired right, because at this price he is a steal of a deal!

Description

Cee Jae has a consistently soft and shiny fleece with long staple length that handspinners love. Her cria fleece was 7 inches long at 11 months old! Moreover, she continues to be very fine and her fleece is next-to-skin soft after processing. Her feminine elegance is carried easily on a strong frame with good conformation. She moves freely, even when carrying her pregnancy. She breeds easily and patiently, and is gentle to handle. Cee Jae is an excellent mother -- attentive and producing ample milk -- and is stamping out the fine and shiny fiber in her crias. Her first cria, Vanilla Breezes, has straight conformation with very shiny and crimpy fiber. This light fawn daughter sired by our Ryder is a fantastic mom herself, having produced our stunning Provenance. Her next girl, Rising Hope, sired by champion stud Rumaki, also shows these fantastic fiber traits. Her 2014 cria is a full brother to Vanilla Breezes and shows the same wonderfully shiny, silky fiber! Cee Jae is a part of a matriarchal line in our herd the reinforces lasting fineness, and she would be a great addition to a foundation program promoting last fineness for quality fiber production.
