Our champion male was a great addition to our farm when he arrived as yearling. In his first big show, the judge, Shannon McConnell, was impressed with Patriot's "total package" and awarded him 1st in the yearling class and as the overall white Color Champion -- reporting that Patriot had the "impact you look for in a herdsire." Patriot's regal and authoritative nature displayed as quiet confidence in the show ring and later translated to assertive attentiveness as a breeding herdsire. But beyond his calm and confident personality, his fiber qualities are also impressive. His brilliant fleece was extremely dense, soft & crimpy that held well into his maturity. His boxy frame and straight conformation amplifies his regal countenance. This is not surprising considering his 'noble' bloodlines. In Magical Farms Herdsire Catalog book, they had professed their glowing praise of Patriot's Grandsire, PPPeruvian Dracula, who was known for his genetics for very dense fiber. Magical Farm's praise was not just manifested in Patriot but also his ciras. Best yet, these bloodlines are not overused so you breeding conflicts are not common. In compliment of his fantastic paternal Accoyo (white) genetics, Patriot has an infusion of color bloodlines from his dam's lineage. When bred to a brown females, Patriot has produced three dark crias: a medium brown girl (who has had a 14 micron cria), our bay black female AutumnSun's Patriot Promise (who has had one of our best crias in 2014), and a bay black male. Even his white cria, AutumnSun's Sweet Patriotic Song (from a white dam), has his pleasing fiber and upright frame. Song has been one of our best foundation dams producing show worthy and colored crias (to include a bay black).

Description

Ember was a curious and vibrant cria, but has really settled into her mom role, calm and confident. She is an excellent mom like her own dam and her sisters have been. She is attentive, encouraging and patient - but not aggressive with humans handling her cria. This is a very desirable trait in a foundation girl, as it is a relief to have a dam you know will "do her job" without any help from you! With her legacy of robust health, clockwork breedings, and trouble-free crias, Ember is a good addition to any breeding herd as a healthy and strong production girl. She is well grown and balanced in her strong frame -- great for a foundation girl. Her conformation and bite are spot on. She has a consistent warm red brown fleece, without any discernible white spots or stray hairs. It has a lovely handle, good consistency, and high frequency crimp. From her WH Peruvian sire she gets awesome fiber qualities & PPP Dracula bloodlines. Imagine: her rich color with the awesome genetics of the Dracula line of super dense/crimpy whites! Ember had her first cria unassisted, and it was already dry, nursing and frolicking when we met him! His fiber is very shiny, soft, and well covered. His frame is straight and he already has very strong legs with coverage all the way down to his toes -- all testimony of his sire's contributions. This we could tell at hours old. We look forward to seeing him develop further! For now, we will include him in her price. Plus, Ember will be bred to one of our herdsires at your choice, even our multiple champion male Secret. So at this low price you will get a proven, easy mom with lots of milk, bred for a 2013 cria, and her strong, soft and shiny 2012 cria at her side!
