High Stakes dam, Dixie, is one of our best with an outstanding show record that includes 5 Championships including Reserve Champion fleece at the Suri Network Fleece Show and his sire, Accoyo High Roller is fawn and we anticipate that beige High Stakes will sire offspring with color. Stephanie has produced healthy crias with excellent fiber qualities. This is not too surprising since Stephanie herself is well-locked. Her locking was consistent across her body, her fiber very lustrous with a heavy / greasy feel, and conformation solid on a well built frame. Pucara said about her: "Stephanie has a mix of sound and correct conformation and stellar suri fleece traits that will add color, new lines and suri. The luster, independence, slick hand and cover is all there on a robust well balanced frame with another knockout Pucara head." Pucara's statements about Mr. Mahogany, Stephanie's sire: "Our boy Mr Mahogany has been an important male for us in Australia... Mr M has only ever given us colored cria. He displays exceptional bone and structure, good density and luster across an even fleece." Stephanie produced colored crias when bred to white herdsires. By Pucara Accoyo Taj, the maternal half-brother to Pucara's Kahuna, Stephanie presented to us a stunning fawn girl, AutumnSun's Glittering Rain who became a production female herself after finishing her showing. From the white champion herdsire High Stakes, Stephanie had a beautiful dark brown Cabernet Sauvignon, or "Savy" as we call her, with the same fine, lustrous fiber and consistent locking as her dam. Savy won two Reserve color championships in the handful of times she has shown!

Description

When you see Savy, as we call our Cabrinet Sauvignon, you will see she is aptly named. Her fleece embodies the rich deep color, defining smoothness, and refinement of classic statement wine. As like the wine, with her heritage, Savy's gorgeous softness and elegance should indeed age well. From the day she first walked, Savy has been independent and regal, carrying herself quietly but surely on a solid and well balanced frame. With her ease of movement and lustrous locks, it was always a pleasure to watch the sunlight sparkle and bounce of her locks. These qualities have been to her benefit in the show ring, with the judges impressed her qualities awarding her two Reserve color championships from the three shows she has shown in. Savy comes from a lineage loaded with high quality. Her 4x champion white herdsire, Pines Edge High Stakes, pulled together strong bone, well defined locks, density and beauiful luster to win Reserve Champion at the 2011 Futurity. He adds to Savy's lineage a convergence of top Accoyo and other Peruvian genetics: Accoyo Jackpot, Accoyo Ace, Accoyo Diamond River, and PPeruvian Juan. Coupled with the Bruxo, Uribe, and MacGyver bloodines from her dam Stephanie, and Savy's full Peruvian heritage is STACKED. With her heritage filled with top shelf bloodlines, her parentage who themselves have exemplified fantastic fiber qualities, and her own manifestation of fine, lustrous, and consistently locked fiber, Savy is sure to produce the offspring that at the 'next level'. With her banners, we cannot wait to see what she produces! We missed our windows in our last couple of years but our molasses pace with our suri breeding program is of no reflection on Savy. We are in our waning years of our suri program, and she has had the disadvantage of our limited breedings. Savy has the genetic and phenotypical advantages that would make her an excellent breeding dam.
