CA Peruvian Incantation is a Full Peruvian male out of two outstanding imports from the Sollocota region of Peru. His dam, 5P Mignon is dark silver grey and his sire, 4P Black Magic is true black. His parents gave Incantation the perfect combination of a heavy-boned, athletic frame, and excellent fiber characteristics. His fleece is dense with lots of crimp. He's so black he casts a purple hue in the sunlight. Incantation is a dream to handle, thanks to his mellow personality.
Inc has produced black cria for us when bred to silver dams. His daughter Genna recently took a blue ribbon at the AlpacaMania spin-off.
AOA# 834764 True Black
Dam: DDF Zamora
30880641<--ari-->True Black<--color-->People who visit the ranch always pick Zamora out of our herd and tell us how beautiful she is. She produces high-quality, colored offspring with fineness, and she is the dam of Cascade Zeus (medium silver grey), Zhivago of Cascade Alpacas (medium rose grey), and Dream Dancer (True Black).
Zamora's sire is Night Mist who was a gorgeous silver grey. Her grandsire is Zorro PC G188 who was one of the truly great true black Chilean imports. He sired 68 cria including 15 true black and 15 rose gray. Night Mist is now deceased, so over time these genetics will become more in demand. Zamora's dam is one of the most treasured true black females, Mercedes Ungallire, at H.R. Alpacas & Suri Llamas where she is not for sale. Mercedes is a 1994 import, originally from Chile.
Zamora is an attentive mom, with trouble-free births, and she produces huge, healthy cria. Zeus was 23.25 lbs, Zhivago was 21.1 lbs, and Dream Dancer was 22.75 lbs!
This year's cria, Dream Dancer, is the crimpiest true black we have seen, and we love her friendly personality. We are excited to show her in 2008.

Description
By far, one of the most elegant females on our farm, Dream Dancer, true to her namesake, walks the pasture with the most graceful gait and posture. Visitors of the farm are always drawn to her first and I've been told that she looks like Egyptian or Arabian royalty- which oddly enough describes her very accurately.
Dream Dancer, a gorgeous true black, is one of our foundation females and has blessed us so far with three "knock-em-out of the park" offspring all named with Latin dance names: Cha Cha, Paso Doble, and Bolero. Each of her offspring have the "ooh la la" factor that any farm would covet. Her consistent offspring success has everything to do with her impressive genetics, the amazing sires she has been bred to, her sweet and easy going disposition and maybe most important, her always impressive mothering instincts. Her sire, CA Peruvian Incantation, a full Peruvian, known for producing the blackest of black cria with blueish undertones shines through on his daughter, plus Dream Dancer is a wonderful, protective mother serving lots and lots of milk for her 20 lb offspring.
In the Spring of 2014, Dream Dancer will be bred to Snowmass Midnight Sun (a multiple award winning fawn, recessive black herdsire on our farm. ) I can't even imagine how magnificent this cria will be.
