High Plains Gracey came to us from Canada and offers new bloodlines to the area. Shown only once, she took the Reserve Color Championship at the Empire Extravaganza 2005 under Dr. Julio Sumar. Gracey is possibly the densest Gray we have ever felt. Her sweet disposition and calm demeanor make her a favorite on the farm as well as with visitors. Gracey is a wonderful mother with abundant milk. Her 2008 cria weighed in at 50 lbs at 3 months of age.
Gracey's 2007 cria, Res Champion Quarry Ridge Madigan, out of Grand River Mezcal, is outstanding. He is conformationally correct, carries himself with pride, has a beautiful head and a dense but soft fleece with good character. He has an outstanding record in the show ring, winning several blues over some of the best blacks in the country.
Gracey's 2008 cria is a lovely, true black female, Quarry Ridge Elora, out of Patagonia's Neruda. She is strong boned and heavily fleeced and has won 3rd place both times she was shown in very large and competitive classes.
Gracey delivered her 2010 cria without a hitch. She actually grazed during her delivery. The cria is a lovely silver gray Res. Champion male out of Peruvian Lancaster. He is strong-boned, straight, crimpy and oh so soft. He now lives at Snowfield Alpacas in New Hampshire.
Gracey, bred to MFI Peruvian Formula 1, delivered a medium gray male in the spring of 2012. Her gray genetics are obviously extremely strong. You can see his picture to the right of this post.
