Like the tempest, Stormy flashes and resonates like lightning and thunder. His genetics and phenotype are strong like hurricane force winds. Stormy makes a stunning first impression—he is large and imposing, but with a quiet and sweet personality. Fineness, density, conformation, character, staple length, coverage, crimp--Stormy has them all and show judges have confirmed it!! His fleece is extremely bright, fine, dense, and crimpy. Stormy is following in the footsteps of his bay black half-brother, 10x Champion Rumm Runner. Stormy's sire, MFI Peruvian Black Mesquite, has had limited outside breedings, which makes getting access to these championship lines a challenge. Stormy's lighter color comes from his great grandsire PPPeruvian Augusto; the rest of Stormy's genetic background includes blacks and browns. His first crias are on the ground, in many colors, and all have inherited Stormy's fantastic fleece character! Stormy took 1st Place, Halter at the 2008 Ohio Buckeye Show and the 2008 MAPACA Jubilee!! Tim Lavan said that Stormy had the best brightness, most consistent fleece coverage, and had consistent crimp throughout. At his first show (Level V 2008 Indiana), Stormy earned second, with Peter Kennedy stating that his fleece was finer and had more character than the first place alpaca. At the 2008 Kentucky Classic, Stormy placed second in his class, to the eventual color champion, and Jill McLeod said, "both animals are very strong and these breeders will do well with these animals. They both are well-conformed, have density, fineness, staple length, character." Stormy's dam, Tropical Delight (1/4 Accoyo), also gave birth to 10X Color/Reserve Champion herdsire Rumm Runner, and at the 2008 Buckeye Show, Stormy and Runner delivered 1st in "Produce of Dam" for Tropical Delight! With Augusto, Donovan, Matador, and Black Mesquite in Stormy's background, he is carrying on the tradition of ribbons in the show ring, and we expect him to have a great breeding career.

Dam: Summer Halo

Half Accoyo; Mr. President Daughter!

Summer Halo

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 812828DOB: 6/30/199925 yrs
Summer Halo is a high quality half Accoyo daughter of PPPeruvian Mr. President. She is a large dam with great conformation and bone structure. Her fiber is dense and still has an amazing amount of crimp for an older girl. On top of her physical stature and fleece, Halo also possesses a very laid back and friendly personality. Halo is an experienced and excellent mother with now seven exceptional cria to her name. She gave birth in 2008 to a cute, half Accoyo, light brown little boy out of the the champion herdsire MFI Peruvian Lethal Weapon of Magical Farms in Ohio. This promising little boy, named J.R. after the physicist J.R. Oppenheimer, was sold before he was weaned. After a couple of off years, Halo was carrying twins in 2011 that did not reach full term, but gave birth on May 27, 2012 to a white little boy out of our Mesquite's Tropical Storm, and on October 21, 2013 to a cute little white girl out of French Champlain. It is easy to see Halo's outstanding bloodlines by looking at her offspring. A number of her cria have been ribbon winners, with some that are already passing on her quality genetics and characteristics. We have now retired Halo from our breeding program and she is being offered for sale as a companion female.

Description

Anders is a cute, solid white male with a nice, square conformation and a typey head. His fleece is very curly and bundling, but does not display the density typically seen in white alpaca herdsires. Anders is out of our Summer Halo, a fantastic mom who has produced a number of ribbon-winning cria, mostly male. His father is our multiple blue-ribbon winning Mesquite's Tropical Storm. Anders is named after 18th-century Swedish astronomer, physicist and mathematician Anders Celsius, who is famous for the temperature scale he developed. Celsius was born in Uppsala, Sweden, where he succeeded his father as professor of astronomy in 1730. It was there also that he built Sweden's first observatory in 1741. Celsius' fixed scale for measuring temperature defines zero degrees as the temperature at which water freezes, and 100 degrees as the temperature at which water boils. This scale, an inverted form of Celsius' original design, was adopted as the standard and is still used in almost all scientific work. We have decided to sell Anders and his good friend French Champlain together as a pair of pet/companion alpacas. These two boys have been friends since Anders was weaned from his mother; they have essentially been together since (except during a short winter stretch of inclement weather!). We want these boys to stay together, and since they are no longer part of our breeding program due to several up and coming young males in our herd, we are making them available as companion or fiber animals to a family looking for 4H animals or pets. Neither boy has been gelded at this point but could be for 4H purposes. Both have good personalities--Champlain is very good on the halter; Anders still needs some practice! Please contact us to inquire about this pair of boys.
