UPDATE: We now have photos from our customers of their fawn Ivan daughter. She was born Fall of 2012 and is gorgeous. Her is named Prim and they are expecting great things of her. Ivan is still throwing wonderful cria! Ivan is my boy. He is a wonderful creature and I love him dearly. Due to all of our other males, Ivan does not see much use here. I want the best for Ivan, and I think he is still a quality herdsire who throws lovely cria. I believe he needs a few more crias on the ground. Therefore, I wish to sell as a breeding male. Contact us if you are interested. Sir Ivan joined our herdsire row in fall 2008. Ivan is a National blue ribbon winner who placed ahead of many well known males in the show ring, including the well respected PCA Sparticus of Pacific Crest Alpacas/Accoyo America. Sir Ivan is a multiple 1st place award-winning male who exhibits very correct conformation, dense fleece with very bold crimp, large bone, and coverage from head to toe. Sir Ivan has a very proud, majestic presense, and he passes this trait on to all of his progeny. Ivan has produced several top award-winning offspring in a broad array of colors including grey, lavender, true black and dark fawn. For example, Ivan's son Grand River Kiray is a multiple first place and champion black herdsire who was part of the outstanding stud row at Fleecy Dale Alpacas of New Jersey. Sir Ivan has improved the qualities of all of the females he has been bred to in their offspring. All of his crias exhibit very fine, dense fleece, as well as large bone, wonderful coverage and show presence. Ivan's own sire, Serono, is known to have maintained his low micron and fineness into his later years. Like his sire Ivan has maintained his fineness as her as aged as well. Sir Ivan still looks great even with his advancing age, with conformation and poise exceeding his pasture friends who are much younger! Don't pass up this opportunity to add the genetics of a National blue ribbon-winning proven herdsire to your herd. (Note that no championship awards were offered in AOBA shows when Sir Ivan was shown in 1999.) Ivan can add exceptional, square conformation and low-micron fineness to your next cria! Use him to soften the fleece of your coarse, dark females. ***Ivan's price has been reduced, and he has received less use due because of the number of other quality males we possess. Ivan has FANTASIC conformation, even at his age. He stamps PERFECT conformation on all his crias, as well as very fine fleece. Ivan has a large amount of experience as a sire and has thrown every color of fleece in his cria.

HERD DISPERSAL UPDATE: Shade, as an experienced mother, and functions well as a patient nanny to younger alpacas. She is now retired and and is being sold as a companion or pet. Shade has proven herself to be an amazing guard alpaca. She even charges the fence when there is any threat of danger or disturbance. She is laid back with both people and other alpacas. But, being so protective, she does not work well with in the pasture with dogs. Look to Shade if you desire a caring, yet watchful alpaca in your pasture! Shade is a striking True Black daughter of 6Peruvian Dom Timbo of Magical Farms, who is a widely known dark silver grey Peruvian import. Shade has exceptional conformation and bone structure, and she displays great presence. Shade has fantastic coverage, and her fleece is soft with above average density. Shade is a very attentive mother that leads well and is easily handled. Shade gave birth in June 2009, to a cute little pattern girl named Madame Marie Curie or "Marie," out of the Timoteo son Mr. Lincoln. She gave birth to another girl in June 2010, this time a solid medium brown named Alice, out of our own Sir Ivan. Shade gave birth to her third girl in a row in 2011--a cute solid true black girl named Rebecca that we're calling "Becca." Becca, out of our own Woodland Meadows Greyson, looks nice and square and has dense, crimpy, soft fleece coming in. Becca could be a very special true black girl! We were excited enough by this girl to have repeated the breeding, which resulted in Shade's fourth girl in a row, a dark silver grey named Isabella or "Izzy," born in September 2012. In May 2014 Shade gave birth to a beautiful little boy named Ferdinand or "Ferdi," who was the last cria sired by Peruvian Noahh before his passing. Shade produced four wonderful female cria for us in consecutive years, followed by a fantastic little boy. E-mail us today to inquire regarding Shade.

Description

Alice was our third cria born in Spring 2010 and our third girl! She is solid medium brown with no spots. Unfortunately Alice is very small for her age, and has underdeveloped ovaries, so she is being sold as a non-breeding pet, fiber, or companion animal. Alice is very friendly and has been trained on the halter and used in 4-H. Alice is already showing lots of spunk and energy, and it appears she will be this year's "trouble maker" among the new cria. Our initial impressions are that she has very nice conformation, and her cria fleece shows promise as well. Alice is named for Alice Cunningham Fletcher, an American anthropologist and ethnologist who was a leader in the movement to bring Native Americans into the mainstream of white society, and was nearly unique among her peers for putting her ideas into practice as an administrator of Indian policy in the field. She came to anthropology and Indian affairs relatively late in life, her interest in archaeology drawing her toward living Indians, and in 1881 she arranged to live with and study the Omaha Indians of Nebraska. She also served as president of the Anthropological Society of Washington and of the American Folklore Society, and vice-president of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
