Rico Suave has donated his services at this years Futurity Quechua Benefit Herdsire Auction. Great opportunity for you OHIO area breeders to donate for a GREAT casue and recieve a breeding to the FINEST BREEDING !! year old herdsire in US history In his element, Rico wins....... RESERVE Champion 2010 Maturity! AGE 10! Just got back Ricos 10year old histogram 16.6 AFD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No wonder Mike Safely couldnt say enough about Ricos fineness at the Maturity Did you know, Rico has sired a BLACK female and male! Holey Moley, Rico's 8 yr fleece just won CABA Judges Choice! Also won Best Hand & Best Brightness! Uh...folks I repeat 8 years old. Im just amazed with this boy. Two words keep coming to my brain SUPER FREAK .......SUPER FREAK Great News! Rico is coming back to Ohio summer of 2011 Rico came to Ohio in 08 to distribute "16.5 micron @ 8yrs" lingering fineness genes. Rico's 8 year old skin biopsy, performed by Norm Evans, revealed 69 follicles/sq.mm and a 16.5 average micron. see more here: https://alpacastreet.oursafeserver.com/ alpacas/view.html?lpaca_id=767 Age 7 ---- Rico's histogram-- AFD 17.1, SD 3.3, CV 19.3, <30 0.4%. This is no one hit wonder, folks, His last 3 years #s are very consistent! ****UPDATE....Rico's 2008 histogram (8 year old) 17.1, SD 3.5, CV 20.5, %>30 0.5. The AlpacaRosa refers to this as "LINGERING FINENESS" in a breeding male! We are bound and determined to make this a household name! I know what you all are thinking.....!!! Can this be ? 17 micron at 8 years with THAT kind of Brightness & crimp staying power?? Is this picture really his 7 year old fleece? WELL? Over the last 2 yrs, Rico convinced several OHIO breeders, Mike Safley, and CABA fleece judges that YES! He is STILL THAT fine! Folks! THIS is why we bring Rico back to The AlpacaRosa every year!. My freinds in Oregon can see how passionate we are about bringing 'Lingering fineness" to the forefront and spreading his amazing genetics. If you have been going to shows, you HAVE to know Fineness RULEs, and evidenced by 5 year old champions at recent Nationals and Futurity, the breeders in-the-know realize Lingering Fineness rules!!!!

AOA# 30388628DOB: 10/23/200519 yrs
Selena just delivered a black and white appaloosa, with amazing fleece! WOW ...daughter not included Her first cria, Mimosa ,has following histogram 17.41 3.69 21.19 100.0 @ 2 years old.!!!! Bred to Accoyo Cabos last year, we were shocked at the white male, make no mistake about it, he is excepetional but he is white? His name is AROSA Nikon Selena is an amazing fawn girl with lineage that is just as golden as her lustrous fiber color. Her sire, Marcoyo, is producing phenominal offspring including Selina's sis, Crystal, who can also be veiwed on our site. Her dam, Sonora, has produced champions herself and is a very sought after girl. Selena is a VERY rare bloodline in the United States, But you will be hearing more and more about this bloodline in the years to come. As far as I know, Selena is one of only 2 Peruvian Marcoyo female offspring in the States. She is currently not available for sale , but you may want to look at a few other siblings on AlpacaNation. Aquila, Nanimo, Naycoyo,Robusto..........all with exceptional fleeces! Selena is incredibly dense, with incredible sheen and great fiber high frequency crimp character. Selena turned 6 months and was eligable for a few shows late in the season. Had she been more experienced with walking on a lead, I think she would have won her classes. We also own Selena's Sister, Crystal, and it was because of Crystal's drop dead gorgeous fiber that we went out and bought Selena. Check out our latest Efficiency invention, we call it the Bean Machine and you can watch videos at http://thealpacarosa.com/beanmachine.html

Hitch Hiker's sire is none other than Rico Suave, the 17 micron 9 year old Wonder Boy, who has been winning judge's choice awards as a 9 year old fleece participant. This male can only be described in two words, Super Freak. Gee, I wonder if Rico son HitchHiker's 16AFD at 7 months old is an indicator of Lingering fineness genetics at work.?
