What do you get when you breed a full sister to the amazing PCA Hemi-Accoyo Nautilus back to her sire? Synergy: 'the interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the parts' This aptly-named alpaca is the reflection of his incredible pedigree. Start with top-quality Accoyo import dam, 6PERUVIAN ACCOYO SICUANI 6410IMPR98. After producing an in-utero import, Greg Mecklem selected the great Alianza import, Hemingway, to sire her next cria: PCA Hemi-Accoyo Nautilus. Known to all serious breeders, Nautilus made a name for himself as a sire of elite-fleeced alpacas. Thereafter Sicuani was bred to the immortal Hemingway, producing four more crias sired by him - including Accoyo America Sequoia. Following the time-honored practice of master breeders, Mecklem bred Sequoia back to her own sire, to 'lock in' the traits that made Hemingway famous: fine, dense fleece with well-defined crimp and organization. Fleece that stays fine over time. Look at Synergy's fiber stats at SEVEN years old! Synergy's fleece exhibits the fineness, density, crimp style, soft handle & brightness you are looking for! It was a bold move, and it payed off. Synergy is bred to 'stamp' his progeny with the outstanding traits of his heritage. And he has. Look at their EPDs. Hemingway is gone. Synergy is 75% Hemingway 'blood' by pedigree. Breeding to Synergy is now the closest you can get to breeding to Hemingway himself. Next take a look at his 2013 histogram, showing an AFD of 20.6 at SEVEN years old. Want more? His recent skin biopsy, taken at age six and a half, reveals amazing density: 65 follicles/sq mm. and an S:P ratio of 12! His EPDs may be his most impressive feature. His 2014 EPD scores rank him in the TOP 1% for SIX traits. Click on the photo at right to see. Five out of six (83%) of his Offspring are in the top 1% of EPDs as well! Sixth Day's Handy Beamer

HuacayaBred (Female)White
AOA# 30490345DOB: 12/27/200717 yrs
Like her namesake, this is a sporty little model with all the options: type, density, fineness, brightness, and just beautiful crimp and organization to her fleece. (She's got 'four on the floor' and 'leather upholstery' too!) Beamer is a fine example of the focus of the Sixth Day breeding program: fine, uniform fiber, with excellent density and lovely crimp! It comes as no surprise then that she has the best EPDs of all the females at Sixth Day Farm. She had her first cria in June 2011. A fabulous young female my Maple Brook Bravado named...... BMW (what else?) Since then she has had two more females, Beacon and Queen Bea. She is in the top 1% of EPDs in THREE traits. No wonder she has produced such fabulous offspring. Beamer is located at Sixth Day Farm East in Hilton, NY.

Description

This beautiful juvenile female is one that has to be seen in person. Her fleece looks and feels amazing. She is a Synergy daughter out of a Hemingway granddaughter that is a Bravado daughter as well. That means she is genetically 54% Hemingway! Better than a Hemingway Daughter! No wonder she is in the Top 1% of EPDs for an ASTOUNDING 7 different traits. Average Fiber Diameter, SD of Average Fiber Diameter, Spin Fineness, Curvature, SD of Curvature, Percentage of Fibers over 30 microns, and perhaps most important of all Percent Medulation. Let us know if you know of any animals that are in the top 1% for more than seven traits. We don't know of even one. Even her father, the awesome Accoyo America Synergy only made the top 1% in six traits. The Queen was shown for the first time at the AOA National Show in Harrisburg where she received a red ribbon. She was shown again at the North East Expo where she won a blue ribbon! This bargain price will not last. When she is retired from the show ring and bred to one of our fabulous herdsires her price will go up. Queen Bea is located at Sixth Day Farm East in Hilton, NY.
