Day Star's Peruvian SGT Pepper

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Beige

Pepper would be a great addition to any breeding program. He is full Peruvian,3/4 Accoyo. He has perfect conformation and great fleece. Super dense, with great crimp. His first histogram at 8 months was AFD: 22.27, SD: 4.56, CV: 20.46, CF%: 94.41. He is big boned, with nice proportions. We believe with Don Quijote as his Sire and PPeruvian Victor as his Grandsire, he should throw color. Pepper has been showing well. He has never left the ring without a ribbon. Check out his awards. Pepper is halter trained and has tested negative for BVD. We would willing to trade Pepper for a full Peruvian male, just to get a different bloodline. Pepper has performed his first breeding and the dam is "spitting off". This stud fee would be drive by only.

VTT Black Taffeta

HuacayaBred (Female)True Black
AOA# 1088328DOB: 9/5/200420 yrs
Taffeta is a beautiful true black that tips out bay black. She is full Peruvian out of a dark brown dam and a true black sire. She has incredibly dense fine fleece and very solid confirmation. She has given us two cria, both female. Both births were unassisted and without complication. Each cria have gained weight from day one. Taffeta’s first cria, Our Peruvian Honeysuckle Rose, is a beautiful medium fawn out of a white sire. Rose has been in two shows, taking two 3rd place ribbons in halter and one 2nd place in walking fleece. We plan to continue showing Rose until she reaches breeding age. We are confident she will keep doing well. Taffeta’s second cria, Our Legacy’s Midnight Angel, is a stunning true black out of a true black sire. While she is still too young to show, we believe this girl has great potential. Her fleece is very fine with crimp from top to bottom and incredible brightness. We cannot wait to see how she does in the ring. Taffeta has been bred to our own Daystar's Peruvian Sgt. Pepper. We expect a colored cria with nice bone, good coverage, nice fineness and good crimp. Taffeta is halter trained and the most laid back alpaca on our farm.

Description

Pepper's first cria is medium fawn female. Here is what our friends at Alpaca Outback have to say about her. "Stacy", you'll forgive me, was hand sheared. But you can see she is very straight, with an excellent profile. Her dam appears to me to be Dark Brown, and her sire adds his Accoyo character to her dam's dense dark fiber. Stacy also has a beautiful grey cast to her face, and a nice helmet. Her handle is fine and buttery with medium amplitude crimp and nice luster. She is full Peruvian, 3/8 Accoyo, colored, pleasant, growing well on her dam's plentiful milk, and nearly ready to wean.
