Our Peruvian Midnight Man

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 1097160DOB: 5/30/200420 yrs
We have looked for several years for that ONE black male that was conformationaly outstanding (strong and heavy boned) yet met our uncompromising demands for exceptional fleece – together with co-owners Dougherty Creek Alpacas, we believe we have found him! With his cria fleece shorn at 8 months, Midnight Man was deservingly awarded the 2005 AOBA Reserve Black Fleece Color Championship. Remarkable not only for the males he competed against in the class, but also for such a young male. His fleece is what every breeder of black alpacas seeks - highly crimped, soft and bundled - but it’s really no surprise – his entire petigree is all about fleece. This and his flawless confirmation are found on BOTH sides of his pedigree in Peruvian Black Forest (THE True Black son of Royal Fawn) and the extremely dense silver grey CPeruvian Silvio. As his ribbons indicate, Midnight Man is a high quality stud - his progeny prove it. To date he has thrown 6 of 8 Black offspring – (4 of those out of MB dams) and they are excellent. Peruvian Midnight Man is also being offered as a selection in the “The Pool” – an outstanding opportunity to stamp this kind of quality and color all over your herd for a very reasonable fee.

VTT Black Taffeta

HuacayaBred (Female)True Black
AOA# 1088328DOB: 9/5/200420 yrs
Taffeta is a beautiful true black that tips out bay black. She is full Peruvian out of a dark brown dam and a true black sire. She has incredibly dense fine fleece and very solid confirmation. She has given us two cria, both female. Both births were unassisted and without complication. Each cria have gained weight from day one. Taffeta’s first cria, Our Peruvian Honeysuckle Rose, is a beautiful medium fawn out of a white sire. Rose has been in two shows, taking two 3rd place ribbons in halter and one 2nd place in walking fleece. We plan to continue showing Rose until she reaches breeding age. We are confident she will keep doing well. Taffeta’s second cria, Our Legacy’s Midnight Angel, is a stunning true black out of a true black sire. While she is still too young to show, we believe this girl has great potential. Her fleece is very fine with crimp from top to bottom and incredible brightness. We cannot wait to see how she does in the ring. Taffeta has been bred to our own Daystar's Peruvian Sgt. Pepper. We expect a colored cria with nice bone, good coverage, nice fineness and good crimp. Taffeta is halter trained and the most laid back alpaca on our farm.

Description

Our Legacy’s Midnight Angel is a full Peruvian black beauty. Angel has very fine, very dense fleece with great character. Angel also has great confirmation and is good size for her age. Angel comes from our black Dam, Taffeta, who has taken a blue in her only fleece spin off. Angel’s Sire is the one and only Our Peruvian Midnight Man, who took first place and the Championship at the 05’ AOBA Nationals in fleece. Angel is 1/8 Accoyo and a Royal Fawn Great Granddaughter. While we were unable to show in the spring, we have great expectations for this girl in the fall. Angel is negative for BVD.
