He is a compact robust and well proportioned stud, perfect overall score in frame, bite, body, and reproductive anatomy. He has a fleece that extends its superior qualities over his entire frame. Matrix has what we call a Merino x Vicuna style of crimp. He has a bit more organization in the expression of crimp than a true vicuna but a very high frequency of crimp indicative in the vicuna qualities. In fact, at 9 years of age, she still has a 19 micron fleece! She has produced a gorgeous male out of Snowmass Matrix that we have named TP Matrix Jubilee. His first fleece had a 14.6 average micron! She has had a series of spectacular cria, including TP Matrix Jubilee, TP Snowmass Touche's Eclair, TP Altiplano Gold's Meringue Kiss, and TP Poseidon's Motivator's Tiramisu. Her last cria was TP Touche's Angel Wings. With a pedigree that reads like a who's who, she has been indeed a treasure. PPeruvian Victor, Sara's Sahara, Peruvian Hemingway and PPPeruvian Pastoral. She brings some uncommon and coveted genetics to our area. The cria her son, TP Matrix Jubilee is producing are spectacular with amazing fineness combined with density. We feel very fortunate that Rhonda and Kern at Tierra Prometida are allowing us to campaign TP Matrix's Jubilee for them here in Oregon this summer. When Jude and I got hands on him at Tierra Promiteda we were blown away by his fiber. Then seeing the biopsy and EPD results was inspiring. And now his cria are weaving their spell! He is a son of the renowned Snowmass Matrix and Tierra Promiteda's finest fleeced female, Valedar's Parfait--who at 9 years of age and overweight has a micron of 19 still! In fact she is in the top 1% of EPD's for AFD ( tenth in the nation), Spin Fineness ( 19th), %F>30m, mean curvature and SDMC!!! He is Dense. He is Fine. He has a beautiful, fine, silky fleece with bundles, brightness, long staples, a well defined high frequency crimp. His fineness persists as has his dam's and as has his sire, Snowmass Matrix.
