Desert Sun helped put us on the map and he can improve your breeding program in just one breeding season! His breeding Statistics: Density is 49.25 SP is 14.4:1 His fineness never disappears! His 7 yr histogram was 23.4/ 4.1/ 17.2/ 4.8 with a spinning fineness of 17.2! Even now, he has kept his tighly bundled fleece with his zipper crimp! His fleece is still one of my favorites to work with and it is a unique shade of fawn, almost a taupe coloring. He made his splash in the show ring from 2000-2003 earning 5 Championships, 3 Reserve Championships, 13 Blues, Breeder's Choice, AFCNA Award, Brightest Fleece, Best Crimp, Judges Choice, and Best Fleece. His fleece continued to win Blue in 2004 and 2005, until we stopped showing his fleece. He has what it takes and he throws it! Over half of his progeny are high end ribbon winners with over 20 Champions and over 45 Blues (as of 2007). These ribbons go across his progeny and are not just powered by a few top crias who "over win" and stack the numbers. From his 105 crias, only 3 males are registered non-breeders! Desert Sun is a total package of color, fleece quality, and temperament. We are only offering him for sale because we have his bloodline in our foundation females and he is just too awesome to retire from breeding. We are offering our half for sale, but Desert Sun is also listed for total ownership for $20,000. We co-own him with Heatherbrook Farms LLC.

Description

Diego is out of a striking black girl and Peruvian's Desert Sun. He has tons of soft, crimpy fiber and a wonderful and friendly disposition as well as perfect conformation. It has been decided to geld him since I can't use him here. He would make an awesome fiber animal. He will be gelded later this fall, but if you want him intact, purchased as a non-breeder and want to geld him, his price would come down $100. I would include him for free with the purchase of a breeding female. Sorry for the gelding thing, Diego.
