Producing excellence time and again
Hummingherd's Laureate
Alpaca, Huacaya, Open (Female) | White
AOA #850942 | DOB: 9/11/2003 (21 yrs)
Sire: MSA Peruvian Vangogh
850942<--ari-->White<--color-->Van Gogh, named after the artist because the tips of his ears were frozen off as a cria, is a stocky, big-boned, broad- chested male. Not only is he a Victor son, but his dam is Sorpresa, the producer of show winners, including Cannonero, now in the Studmasters program at Northwest Alpacas. Van Gogh is very dense, cutting over 13 pounds at three years of age. He combines fineness with that incredible density, with a micron count of 20 his first year and 23 at 6 1/2 years. Van Gogh is a great male to add density to your fine-fibered females without sacrificing fineness.

Description
Laureate was one of our first purchases when we started in this great industry in 2006. She's certainly one of our older dams now, but is still producing absolutely superior offspring. Check out her 2014 cria Lyra.
We would love to see Laureate go to a home where she will be well cared for, and perhaps be bred a couple more times to repeat her genetics.
The one constant we have seen with Laureates offspring is density and fineness. Just what astute breeders are looking for.
