You expect nothing less than excellence from this package of genetics. This is a unique joining of herdsire genetics, some of which are no longer in the US (Snowmass Snowmaster). Inspiration is stacked with dense bright crimpy fiber on a square well balanced frame and gorgeous head. His fiber stats show sustained fineness and great curvature (crimp and style). Inspiration was impressive enough to Don and Julie Skinner that they put him in their 2004 show string. He did not disappoint taking a 3rd at the Futurity in a very large Juvenile class and 2nd at AWE in a class of 15. He is a total package and his cria have been awesome.

Sunflower has demonstrated the ability to produce high quality offspring. For proof of that just look to her 2010 son Halo- he is impressively dense and fine, with a very pleasing frame. His 2 year AFD was an eye-catching 14.9 micron. Halo placed 2nd in a very competitive white class at the 2011 AOBA National Show. Mike Safley commented on "the complete package".
Sunflower combines good density, solid conformation, a deep pedigree along with being a very attentive mother who produces an abundance of milk. She would be a great dam for anyone looking to add color to their herd.
Sunflower has been bred to I-Star's Tupac. We have kept this boy a secret until now. An amazingly soft fleece with superb length, we are anxious to see the result of this breeding!

Description
********************************************************** UPDATE ****************************************************************
**We are nearly at capacity here on the farm and with 13 cria coming this year we need to make room. Our plight is your gain! Halo is not a cast off we are looking to off-load. He is one of 5 Snowmass Inspiration boys born to our farm 3 years ago. This genetic line has proven to produce amazing fleece characteristics and is firmly set in our breeding program (see his 1/2 brothers Rogun and Bolero), but we only need so many. Halo's fleece is still very fine with a softness to die for. He has excellent density and staple length and is a dream to work with. This boy needs a job and he's ready. He brings the added benefit that he should by all rights throw color given his dams color background.**
There are times in this industry when you are met with surprises; sometimes good, sometimes bad. Gem State's Halo was born while we were coming home from the Pucara Premium Reserve sale weekend. Just outside of Portland, we received the phone call from our son- "We had a cria- a little boy". This was boy number 6 for the year, so the whole way home we were disappointed. When we arrived home, I didn't even go down to the barn. It was only after strong convincing did I bother, and all I could say when I saw him was "WOW!". At less than a day old, you knew he was something special!
That "WOW" factor continued through the winter and was verified in the only show he entered, the 2011 AOBA National Show. In a very competitive white yearling class of 10, Halo was immediately moved up front by Judge Mike Safley. After reviewing all 10, he had placed Halo in 1st! After a LONG evaluation of the top two in the class, he eventually moved Halo to 2nd. His comment "These are two very nice alpacas. Both with incredible fineness. The one standing in 1st has maybe a little bit more density, but as you could see it took me a while to decide". In addition, AOBA judge Babs Mannion did a personal evaluation of Halo and commented on the great consistency throughout the fleece that has both fineness and density to it.
But that's not the complete story. Soon after the show, we sheared the herd and anxiously awaited the results. Halo and his results again took front and center.
