Gem State Cinnarun

HuacayaBred (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 31507547DOB: 8/13/200915 yrs
"Cinny" was one of two Running Late offspring born in 2009. From the start, Cinnarun put simply had "the look" along with a super-fine light fawn fleece and coverage from head to toe. She exemplifies our farm goal of maintaining fineness (19 micron at 3 yrs old). This lingering fineness is a highly heritable trait passed on from her sire PC Running Late- a Futurity, IAO, and AOBA National champion. Add to this a long staple, a very gentle disposition and you have a complete package. Too date Cinny has given us 2 female cria and she has been re-bred to our AOBA Nationals ribbon winning male Rocket man for a 2014 cria. Congratulations to Ben and Kristi McCallister of Macpaca Farms for their purchase of 'Cinny' and her cria!

Congratulations to Mike and Nancy Brletic of Simple Life Farms for their purchase of Magic Man. He is an amazing male will no doubt produce next generation elite cria!! Magic is what happened when we crossed our Archangel daughter, CCNF Evita with a Nautilus son, Accoyo America Tempest. All we can say is holy cow! - just take a look at his pic's! Magic Man was just weaned and already weighs a solid 80lbs. His fleece is phenomenal with superior organization and architecture - the bundling in his fiber is just amazing and it bundles in his tail, his neck and even his legs. He is extremely bright with a fineness and handle that just might be better than his older 1/2 brother Tupac (thank you Evita!) - and that's saying something indeed! At 6 months old he already has a staple length of 4". His dam is our own CCNF Evita. Check out her page to see how her contribution to this boy is equally as impressive as his sires. His sire, Accoyo America Tempest, is out of the notorious Nautilus - one of the cornerstone males in Greg Mecklems breeding program. The skin biopsy results for Tempest were fantastic and one of the big factors we chose him as herdsire for 2 of our top dams. Take a look at his results; "The results of his skin biopsy (Watt) are EXCELLENT!! At 43 months: Density 63/mm2, Secondary:Primary fiber ratio: 13.3:1 Primary fiber diameter 23.9 Secondary fiber diameter 15.9. Ian Watt points out that, "he has an excellent fiber population differential of only 8 microns. ...a superior fiber for a near four year old working male. " BREAKING NEWS: For 2011 Tempest sheared 15 pounds total, with a blanket weight of 4.9 pounds!!" Check out Tempest's EPDs: AFD -1.447, SDAFD -0.1, SF-1.276, %F>30 -4.19, MC 5.22, SDMC2.028, %M-2.623 Magic Man has a pedigree loaded with alpaca royalty and a fleece that embodies the best traits of those that came before him.

Description

Gem State's XXXtera Silk- you can probably guess who her sire is! With a breeding to such a powerful genetic stud such as Snowmass XXXtreme, we knew exactly which dam we wanted to breed him to. Gem State Cinnarun, our super-fine PC Running Late fawn daughter, was a perfect match. At 6 years of age Cinnie's fiber is as follows; 2015 18.4 4.1 22.0 1.3! Tera is carrying some very powerful genetic lines that have proven out in the fleece production of her parents/fore-parents. Tera's fleece has evolved over time taking on more of the attributes of a modern rose grey than a solid light brown. She has great character to her fleece, good density and is maintaining her fineness over time. Breeding her to a grey male would be exciting to say the least. XXXtera Silk represents everything we loved about his sire, while combining the fineness and demeanor of her dam. We are offering "Tera" for sale bred to our ribbon winning stud Magic Man, who was recently sold. Tera did produce a dark cria with her first breeding to our white stud Rocky, and with color in Magic Man's background we are anticipating a repeat of color. UPDATE: Tera delivered a very healthy, light fawn male. Showing alot of the same fleece characteristics as his sire Magic Man!! Disclaimer- When Tera was born she looked like a young tree that had constant heavy wind blowing on her R side. Our vet told us they call it "wind swept" and is attributed to the way the baby is carried in the womb. She grew out of it and straightened up nicely but she does have a barely perceptible "paddle" to the hind R leg.
