Description
Red Swan is one of those stately alpacas that just stands out in the pasture. She is a beautiful Mahogany color with striking black points. All of this is no surprise as she is the product of TWO color champions. Her sire is the famous Mile High Deacon Grey, a 14X color champ that is known for his gorgeous Light Silver Grey Fleece that has retained its fineness over time. Her Dam, is our Black Color Champion from GWAS, Skyline’s Pizzicato, who also has retained her fineness and glimmering shine! Red Swan’s fleece is extremely fine and bright, traits she gets from both her parents. We are anxious to see if she too maintains these qualities as she matures. We think she will!
Given Red Swan’s genetic background, she is the perfect female to add to a grey breeding program as she carries grey on both sides of the pedigree, and you won’t risk getting a blue eyed white with a grey breeding. We would like to keep her ourselves for that reason, but we just can’t keep them all! Our loss will be your gain!
